Ex-RNC chairman blasts Trump: 'Not fit to lead this nation' (msn.com)

Former Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Marc Racicot slammed former President Trump over his comments on Russia's invasion of Ukraine, writing that the ex-commander in chief is "not fit to lead this nation."

In an article written for the Independent Record on Wednesday, Racicot analyzed Trump's commentary on the conflict in Ukraine, determining that the ex-president is not fit to lead the U.S., especially during a moment of crisis.

He said the "essential qualities of leadership and human character" are decency, honesty, humility, honor and faithfulness."

"Donald Trump does not possess those essential qualities of character that leave him fit to lead this nation, most especially in a time of crisis," Racicot wrote.

It is no secret that the Worst President Ever Donnie Trump was one of the most corrupt, incompetent, and immoral presidents in US history.
Trump's presidency was based upon "what is in it for me". As noted by conservative columnist, Max Boots, in his article "Worst President Ever":

“Until now, I have generally been reluctant to label Donald Trump the worst president in U.S. history. As a historian, I know how important it is to allow the passage of time to gain a sense of perspective. Some presidents who seemed awful to contemporaries (Harry S. Truman) or simply lackluster (Dwight D. Eisenhower, George H.W. Bush) look much better in retrospect. Others, such as Thomas Jefferson and Woodrow Wilson, don’t look as good as they once did,” he wrote. “So I have written, as I did on March 12, that Trump is the worst president in modern times — not of all time. That left open the possibility that James Buchanan, Andrew Johnson, Franklin Pierce, Warren Harding or some other nonentity would be judged more harshly. But in the past month, we have seen enough to take away the qualifier “in modern times.” With his catastrophic mishandling of the coronavirus, Trump has established himself as the worst president in U.S. history.”

“Trump is characteristically working hardest at blaming others — China, the media, governors, President Barack Obama, the Democratic impeachment managers, everyone but his golf caddie — for his blunders. His mantra is: “I don’t take responsibility at all.” It remains to be seen whether voters will buy his excuses,” continued before pronouncing, “But whatever happens in November, Trump cannot escape the pitiless judgment of history.”

Some people were/are very angry about the Civil Rights Movement. They didn't want anything to change so they just revamped their anger, hatred and bigotry into more subtle packages. To this day, every single accomplishment by a non-white, non-Christian and/or non-heterosexual person is assumed to be a "quota" hire and not based on merit.

They also work the other end by claiming that racism doesn't exist because Obama was elected completely ignoring that has nothing to do with the day to day struggles of people who are treated as second class citizens in their own country. They are quick to pounce on any reports of discrimination as being false and silence victims by claiming they are "playing the race card".

    +++++++++++++++

And, this is exactly the same game they are playing now. One would think that people would be more inclined to listen to the people that actually know him up close and personal. People in his family, people that worked for one of his businesses, in his White House Administration, former attorneys, former accountants, former bankers, the mass exodus after the Capitol riot and on and on.

Yet, with the same methodology as described above, they completely ignore and deny these people's voices with two words:

    "Never Trumper".

It's really bizarre to witness. They absolutely accept "widespread election fraud" without a trace of evidence and ignore all his transgressions with a mountain of evidence. They've turned their back on the Capitol police officers and their own President in favor of a dictator. That's something way, way off the grid of politics. Way out of bounds.

Anyone that has worked in Corporate America and/or HR can clearly see he is the problem. His numbers are the highest in 40 years. This screams "toxic workplace".

You are all over the barnyard. Responding piece by piece, it was 100% (well, 98% but who's counting) Democrats who fought civil rights tooth and nail for over 100 years until a Republican senator got congress past the Democrat filibustering to get LBJ's civil rights legislation passed. Obama is the one that pursued racism and the balkanization of America by race, It was Obama and current Democrats who play the race card like there was no tomorrow.. There is a ton of evidence that the 2020 election was highly irregular and likely fraudulent, just none that could satisfy the judicial process of proof (not withstanding that only one court IIRC even heard the cases.)

I think the personal characteristics Racicot describes here more closely match a Labrador Retriever than President of the United States. What a President needs is an understanding of which policies are good for the country, not a pleasant personality. Trump is clearly better than most recent Presidents, including Biden. by this criteria. Trump is narcissistic and vulgar but has good policies. Biden is slightly less narcissistic and vulgar but is hopelessly ignorant of good policy. Biden is a clear and present danger to our country.

If it was just one guy, I wouldn't give it much credence. But we are talking dozens of ex Trump staff who have come out saying that Trump isn't fit
    to be President.

I'll start with just two: energy independence, and pressuring NATO countries to expand their military budgets.

Indeed. The republican worm is finally starting to turn on trump.
The latest quisling comments from trump may have finally opened their eyes.
They’re still a dollar short and a day late when it comes to putting their country ahead of that malignant narcissist when it really mattered, but better late than never.

They couldn't couldn't "satisfy the judicial process", because they "lacked standing". In other words they were frivolous suits brought by individuals or entities that had no right to sue in the first place. Like Texas sueing other States over the Constitutionality of their election. Overall, Benedict Donald brought 60 court cases and, I don't know how many recounts and re-recounts, all to NO avail. His ONLY victory was getting election observers moved closer, that had been held back because of COVID concerns. It was one of, if not THE most challenged elections in our history. Donald Judas tRump, more than, had his day in court.

I used to think "never-Trumper" were republicans that NEVER supported Trump from the beginning. Like Bill Kristol. Now it seems the term has changed. Even if you supported him, voted for him, worked for him, etc... If you no longer support him you are a never-Trumper.

Correct. It's a way to disparage people that actually know him, up close and personal, and have washed their hands of him. It is very concerning that mass exodus doesn't concern them at all. Who would know better what he is really like except the people trapped with his dumb@ss behind closed doors? His on camera/microphone personality is already horrible and stupid. Can you imagine what he's like "behind closed doors"?

We'll see in November. I expect the GOP will win majorities in both the House and Senate.

IIR Trumps energy independence policy was about reopening coal mines and constructing oil pipelines.
It is a pretty simple, restrictive list of old solutions to new problems.
Energy independence needs creative, new and mixed solutions. Example...why invest in more oil when vehicles will be electric?
Expanding NATO budgets was a cheap toss at a time when most European countries were reducing their defence budget.

You probably realize Never-Trumpers are authoritarian and just like fascists Never-Trumpers don't tolerate opinions which disagree with their own opinions.

Trump didn't tolerate those who disagreed with him either.
Are you saying Trump is a fascist?

What the hell are you ranting about? Trump tolerated the white supremacists and the ANTIFA fascists at Charlottesville, Virginia. Trump tolerated the George Floyd protestors. Trump tolerated the ANTIFA protestors.

What you don't realize (it's obvious) is that Trump bases his decisions on the American constitution. Granted, the American constitution is an authoritarian document but the American constitution isn't authoritarian because most Americans agree with the principles of the American constitution.

For example (now, pay attention), Trump believes in securing American borders 'cause The Constitution gives as one of the jobs to the American president to secure American borders.

Us guys appreciate the rare honesty of any Repub willing to speak the truth about the Orange Menace. In this case......He said the "essential qualities of leadership and human character" are decency, honesty, humility, honor and faithfulness. Donald Trump does not possess those essential qualities of character that leave him fit to lead this nation, most especially in a time of crisis," Racicot wrote...........which is spot on.
