Yep, and there is another piece of RW hypocrisy here: Normally, when it comes to taxation, the RW contends that the rich are job creators, who are victimized by the left and big bad government.

However, I guess that only holds for the rich when they are conservative. When they are liberal, like 75% of the MV population, all of a sudden they become the wealthy "Elite" that needs to be hated.

The other fun fact: The MV population isn't actually all that rich. Median household income is $83,000 (https://www.point2homes.com/US/Neighborhood/MA/Martha-s-Vineyard-Demographics.html). The rich people on MV are the vacationers, my guess is that many of those are Republicans.

Of course, facts have never deterred the Trump fans from a little celebration of having "owned" the libs. And this is what this is really all about. It's sad that the platform of the second place runner in the GOP 2024 race is actually (to paraphrase) "owning the libs"..
