I just moved some money from UK to USA as I do from time to time and noticed that the rate seemed to be discounted more than it has been before. What gives banks the authority to take more from my money when they do this exchange. I think I have just lost 2 c extra per GBP converted. I could once calculate on about 3c now it seems to be about 5c /GBP they take. Why would or should this be? Anyone know?
