Alex Wong/Getty Images Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), joined by Senators Lumis, Daines, and Lankford, demanded answers on the National Education Association’s (NEA) plans to spend $140,000 to make an “enemies list” in a letter obtained exclusively by Breitbart News. Addressed to NEA President Becky Pringle, the letter from the coalition of Republican Senators explains a measure was passed at the NEA 2022 Representative Assembly that would allow the organization to “spend $140,000 to create an ‘enemies list.’ The letter also notes the enemies list would consist of groups that “actively working to diminish a students’ right to honesty in education, freedom of sexual and gender identity, and teacher autonomy.” The Senators also blasted America’s largest labor union, which has over three million members working in public education, for being “more concerned with advancing a ‘social justice’ agenda instead of meeting the needs of children and students who are experiencing catastrophic learning challenges.”… read more news here: https://www.breitbart.com/education...rn-demands-answers-on-neas-140k-enemies-list/ This Breitbart News investigative reporters exclusive is very interesting. I guess that we the people who oppose their sick agenda with our kids are their enemy #1. NEA should be concerned about catching our kids up and making up for lost time due to covid than advancing social justice propaganda.
The NEA in so many blue states kept kids out of school for up to an extra year setting back their education and now they make an enemies list of those opposed to their CRT, 1619, trans pronoun, social justice who want their kids to get a solid education on the key subjects needed to engage in a trade or go to college.
And, to address the original post, the reason so many people criticize the source when it is Breitbart is: they skew all the facts to promote and agenda. You are bothered by indoctrination, yet support the indoctrination you like. Notice in the article, which wasted 5 minutes of my time, that none of the material they complain about is available, meaning they want you to take their word for it, and they are very slanted, almost sideways.
Probably the most well adjusted kid I have met in years was one who was home schooled since elementary school. Kid was taking motors apart at 16 and even started apprenticing as a welder at 17 making more than most. Always shows respect and jumps to help if he sees you working on something.
4 Extreme RW Senators (Led by Queen Wacko Blackburn) "demand answers"? Good luck with that one... Blackburn-Led Drama that (in a Dem-controlled Senate) is destined to fall on deaf ears...
So who’s deciding what our kids are taught; teachers, school boards, activists, politicians, parents or unions? There are around three million unionized teachers in this country paying between $750 and $925 dollars a year in dues. Why?
Poll of battleground states conducted for teacher's union finds voters trust GOP more on education That's a change. Hack. "The American Federation of Teachers hired a democratic polling firm to ask questions of likely voters in seven battleground states (AZ, FL, GA, MI, NV, PA, WI). The results can only be seen as terrible news for the union." "the top 3 things schools ought to be doing. Tops on the list at 58% is “Making sure students have strong fundamental skills in reading, math, and science.”" Not fans of grooming: Dems are politicising education: Truth bombs from a poll the AFT paid for taken by a Democrat firm.
Can anyone explain to me what is wrong with Marsha Blackburn?? Serious question!!? That woman is a loon....
I 110% agree with the sentiment, but I think the NEA has a constitutional right to make any list they want.
There was a lot of drama regarding the teachers unions and blue states forcing distance learning far longer than reasonably needed.
It wasn’t my medical opinion. I actually returned to work at a school in a district in California that returned to in person in August 2020. The occurrence of illness was no higher than among those who distance learned. We also saw the amount of education lost just from the March -June lockdown and how much extra period attendance was needed to recover. Districts that didn’t open until August of 2021 lost a lot more…
And that is your juicy rationalization for the year. You, and those that think like you fail to address that returned passed on the illness.
