It would appear as though you agree with pressuring children to participate in activities against the will of their parents. I have to strongly disagree.

How is an optional event at a public space where parental consent is required “pressuring children to participate in activities against the will of their parents”?

It’s fascinating how you take what I say and completely reverse it while ignoring instances of actual ideological pressure.

You are incorrect. Any negative connotations came from your imagination. If anything, I view "queen" as negative as I am not a fan of monarchs.

I also stopped going to church as soon as I was old enough to refuse. I was not the one using the church to make an argument.

My position on this issue is simple. Draggers (Male monarchs in dresses) don't get get to circumvent parental consent. Is that reasonable? Neither do priests. (Also men wearing dresses!)

There are 100,000+ schools in this country. How many have guests in drag explaining whatever to small children?

Young children learn about femininity and masculinity from their parents first. When they enter school and interact with other children, they learn even more. Seeing a man with exaggerated feminine facial features interferes with the healthy development of emotional intelligence. (EQ) When we read to a child, they learn more from our tonality and facial expressions. Coulrophobia is common among children for the same reason.

So to answer my own question, children do not develop at the same rate and those that know when their child is ready should be in charge of when the child is ready.

I responded to your post at face value. I did not misrepresent your position as you did mine claiming I want to ban drag. you said:

"If prayer can be said by staff at school where children are felt pressured to join or when religious symbolism is allowed in schools then I have no issues with someone in drag reading to kids in public libraries as long as it isn’t vulgar material."

That appears as though you justify imposing drag on children because religious people do it. It is wrong in both examples you gave.

If I misunderstood your post. feel free to clarify.

I have said drag shouldn’t be allowed in schools — libraries are items partners have to consent to and chaperone their children. So if they attend a story hour it is the parents making that choice.

How is any of this imposing drag?

Geez, leave it to local school districts. It's not a huge problem.

Because I take my kids to the library. If the kids section is occupied by scary clowns, I am the one being made a second class citizen having to leave.

    Sure. Whatever you think.
Draggers is definitely meant to denigrate.

So you don't think male teachers should teach if they have exaggerated feminine facial features?
Because it will interfere in healthy child development?
How about females with exaggerated masculine facial features?

Or is your exaggerated features referring to makeup? You know, there's been what, a dozen of these so called drag queen reading hours. Which I think is dumb. But it's less than a mole hill.

I guess if a parent is worried about exposing their kids to daily life outside the home, they need to home school them or else prepare them for the real world. Parents choice.

Oh please. there is not one ounce of phobia in any of his comments.
I can't even find dragger in urban dictionary.
again you guys seem to focus on words and grammar more than the actual topic
That can be a real DRAG sometimes!

Of course it's not in a dictionary.
Grammar is the tone of ones thoughts. Even if one doesn't know it.

That is your choice though. If a Muslim doesn’t want to go into a library because there are women there that violate his morals — what party is at fault?

You are not qualified to speak for what I meant. You have already been corrected. Lets keep the discussion honest.

Is calling them queens meant to denigrate them and liken them to autocrats that rule over others? How dare you :p

I think you have it correct as long as you are referring to the makeup that (male monarchs in dresses) and scary clowns wear. Are you familiar with emotional intelligence?

I am qualified to infer the words chosen. As everyone does.
No one has ever used that term before except to denigrate blacks or stupid people. IE knuckle draggers.

They are queens. Loud and Proud, if one listens to them.

I am not, at least as stated by your words. But perhaps in some other fashion.
    Explain.

    Here

Henry "Harry" Hay Jr. (April 7, 1912 – October 24, 2002) was an American gay rights activist, NAMBLA activist, communist, and labor advocate. He was a co-founder of the Mattachine Society, the first sustained gay rights group in the United States, as well as the Radical Faeries, a loosely affiliated gay spiritual movement.

Hay has been described as "the Founder of the Modern Gay Movement"[3] and "the father of gay liberation".[4]

Using that logic, the muslim should be able to take over the kids section and normalize burkas.

In some parts of the middle ease, even female dogs are required to wear coverings from head to paw. (Its called a barka!)
