    i wasnt looking for a date. its just confusing when people talk to you online, yet not in real life. i dunno its weird for me. i guess im old fashioned. not looking for a date either.

    I think you have good points, I personally have a love hate relationship with Facebook. If someone is using you for their friend count, take solsice in knowing that in reality you can only have something like 300 friends, any more than some number around there and you start forgetting others. It's just not possible. Hence if someone has like 800 friends, they are lying to themselves or more likely trying to protray a level of friends that is not even humanly possible. You cant get all mad about that. People have different motivations.

    I have met people from Facebook because I try to engage with people, I don't see it as a way to maintain but to find people with similar interests. Thanks for FB I have some interesting friends in a few different places and it's nice to share casual chat with them.

    I only use it to contact family and friends who are far away and only have one because a few of these people separately asked me to do so. I really think that the internet might be ruining people's social skills, especially the younger generation who hasn't really grown up without it.
