You really don't get it do you.

It is you who are forcing your morality on the rest of us. Why should I not have the right to refuse service as a private business to someone whose sexual preference has 0 basis in science or genetics?

Explain the justification for your fascism.

Nice try no gay couple is imposing their morality to on you or anyone else. You have a problem with gay people and you want to dictate who sleeps with who, where they can do it. This is proven by your post. Where in the constitution does it say one group gets to be the morality police for another. Plus again if conservatives are for smaller government why do the continually stick their noses in peoples bedrooms. So either answer the question or sty out of the thread.

Aren't all humans to be treated equal, by the 14th?
Unless convicted of a federal crime.

The biggest difference is heterosexuality has been proven by science to be genetic just like race and gender. The act of procreation proves it. The far left gets confused when you bring this up because they think you have to be able to procreate for every marriage which is not what this means. It simply means the act of procreation requiring heterosexual sex proves heterosexuality is genetic. The ability or want to procreate is irrelevant. It is the very act that the species cannot survive without heterosexual sex that proves it is indeed genetic.

Homosexuality has no basis in genetics giving it no justification to be raised to the level of a civil right.

    The law.
And because one chooses to be ignorant isn't a right to discriminate and break the law.

But as per usual, you don't get it.
If you want to discriminate, you don't belong running a business that caters to the public.

If you expand it to include homosexuality you cannot exclude any other sexual preference since we are all humans.

And now its your turn to deny the obvious, produce no evidence to support you, throw an insult and run away.

Your military mind is mucked up if you can't see the Resident in Chief is the one who is scandalously lawless; disregarding laws and oaths, and using the Constitution for toilet paper. He is the one who has shown himself to be completely without honor.

There are laws against gay marriage right now yet you want those removed. So your caring about the law is not only a lie but a pretty pathetic one at that.

    Sigh. Wrong as usual

In cases in which the patron is not a member of a federally protected class, the question generally turns on whether the business's refusal of service was arbitrary, or whether the business had a specific interest in refusing service. For example, in a recent case, a California court decided that a motorcycle club had no discrimination claim against a sports bar that had denied members admission to the bar because they refused to remove their "colors," or patches, which signified club membership. The court held that the refusal of service was not based on the club members' unconventional dress, but was to protect a legitimate business interest in preventing fights between rival club members.

It would be so nice if you actually researched your argument just once in a while.

Odd how those heteros continue to procreate gays.
Unless you think gays procreate gays.

    I am expanding to nothing.
All rights are extended to all humans. Unless convicted of a federal crime. Yes?

We procreate Goth, foot fetishes, pedophiles and polygamists as well. None of those have any basis in genetics.

Please show us all in science the genetic nature of a homosexual union when it cannot result in procreation of the species.

I love a show after dinner.

If you expand it to include homosexuality you cannot exclude any other sexual preference since we are all humans.

Pedophiles are humans so they have the same right according to your own argument.

So sad you make it this easy over and over again.

show us science in genetic nature? What?
Nothing wrong with goth, foot fetishes, polygamists. Unless against the law, which polygamy is now. Pedophiles I believe has always been against the law.

There was a time when sex was vile if the lights weren't out and participation wasn't under the covers.
If you don't follow that then you're perverted.

In fact, right here on pf people like him have stated that gays "goad" these hapless, helpless homophobes into making death threats against people like 5 yos for showing a homosexual couple on a TV show.

Could any cowardice be more pathetic than theirs?

Tons of government money goes into training doctors.

Not to mention the Hippocratic Oath.

If they want to do this because of their religious beliefs, they can turn in their medical licenses and be faith healers, like the Bakkers and our beautiful Tammy!.

This is a thread about a state wanting to pass legislation for a health care provider to refuse service to someone.
No health care provider should refuse service to anyone, ever. Else they need to leave the health care industry.
The fact you are in agreement sends a loud message of bigotry. But that isn't a hidden truth, now is it.

I linked to more than a half dozen sources that support me. How about you bring forth scientific data to support your claim that homosexuality only deals with sex?

You failed to back any of yours as well.

    - - - Updated - - -

However, homosexuality is an expression of love and attraction and as such is protected by the 1st Amendment.

I know its hard but do try and keep up. There is no scientific basis for genetics to produce homosexuals. None. In fact it goes counter to the very existence of a species so pretending homosexuality is genetic is to stare science squarely in the face and claim it doesn't exist.

And I'll say it again, you want to abolish current laws against homosexuality so you can't hide behind laws that ban sexual practices you don't like while demanding to remove laws against sexual preferences you do like and then claim that the 14th amendment covers all humans.

I got news for you slick, all sexual preferences are humans, including pedophiles. Your own argument once again is used against you.

You are only making my point for me.

No, its not. You obviously didn't read the law. It covers private businesses. The article is taking it to the extreme because of the poor wording just like I have done with your arguments.

BOISE • An Idaho lawmaker is pushing legislation that would allow businesses to deny services to gay people as long as they cited sincerely held religious beliefs.

As I said long ago in this thread that aspect of the law should be changed. But forcing private businesses to accept the sexual practices of others that have no basis in genetics is wrong.

Please for the love of God read the defintion of a bigot. I am no less of a bigot than you are. Please learn about words you use before you use them not after.

I don't care if the person is gay, a pedophile, a Nazi, a Catholic, or a Republican, medical care is restricted, licensed and regulated so a patient can't just go to ANY person for medical care. A doctor is given a government-subsidized and legal monopoly, and therefore have responsibilities to everyone.

Plus enormous government money goes into ALL doctor's medical educations. why should only the people YOU approve of benefit?

Plus, treating a person is NOT "accepting" their "lifestyle". (Nor does selling them a cake or selling them flowers). That lousy excuse for bigotry and discrimination has been ridiculous from the start for public businesses, anyway, but goes triple for doctors because of the above reasons.

A doctor should treat them. Go home and wash your hands and throw up in the privacy of your home if you don't like their 'lifestyle'". Or move to Iran or Russia or Uganda! Hey, you can murder homosexuals in the Ugandan laws our "Christian" missionaries have fomented there! As a "doctor", you could just give them a shot of drain cleaner or formaldehyde and watch them die in slow agony on the floor of your "medical" practice!

    Jesus will love you!

The "love" of a "God" who you claim says to leave people whom you disagree with to die in the gutter?

No thanks. That "god's love" is ALL yours! Keep it! TAke it with you to some Ugandan hellhole where you all deserve each other's very conditional "love".

The bill actually covers business and professional licenses. Professional licenses can include, but not limited to, doctors, CPA's, teachers, nurses, and so forth. Business licenses could include any entity that is formed under state or local law as well as any occupational license that is required, such as contractors, florists, etc.

The bill will not pass. It is poorly written and shows that such a law will provide conflict between professional ethics, like the Hippocratic oath and with Title 7 of the U.S. Civil Rights Act and the 14th Amendment.

In other words, this is a bad law and it should be opposed.

The 14th Amendment provides equal protections under the law and the right of due process as it pertains to life (your living breathing self), liberty (your freedom from slavery and/or indentured servitude), and property (your estate, land, personal possessions, etc.) None of which involves sexual orientation or preference.

No, homosexuality is a behavior caused by external or internal stimuli. An expression is how one communicates with others. There is no constitutional amendment that protects your right to get your jollies in public, especially when it infringes on the right to privacy of beliefs of others under the 1st Amendment.
