This crap has got to stop.
Election misinformation is probably illegal but good luck finding who did it. But since it was anti Biden, DoJ may take an interest. I hope they are getting busy. But I'm not sure we can pry enough FBI agents away from infiltrating Catholic churches.
Me? I don't care if it is a heated race for dog catcher, I want A.I. the hell out of our election system. Our electoral system is under enough stress. I hope we can have a collective catharsis and get back to the basics of the "honesty of the vote". Good luck with that...

The deep fake videos are going to be worse. It seems catching the perps isn't as easy as one would think. They can't seem to trace SWATting callers either.

Why do you think AI was involved? It was probably just some RNC guy doing what he is paid to do (set up robo-call). Robo-calls are hardly considered AI.

Besides, I don't see how anyone benefitted from this cheat.

One possibility is that it was just a test of the method. If so, expect a massive wave of AI generated propaganda and robo calls leading up to Super Tuesday.
Then , lots more leading up to the General Election.

This campaign may be very different, and not in a good way.

Last time we found out it was Putin in collusion with the MAGA campaign. Finding out didn't help because, according to Trump's DoJ, collusion wasn't illegal. And any expectation that MAGAs cared about foreign intervention in our democratic system turned out to be wishful thinking.

you mean when I watched television on January 6th is was an AI production?? LOL

no doubt some are more gullible than others

some people will believe anything that is similar to the beliefs they already have

the best defense for the robo calls , fake news stories, and AI generated information is COMMON SENSE

remember the old line "if it is too good to be true , it probably is"

I suggest to be careful when seeing pre-recorded news clips or reading articles in right or left extremist publications

this is why the debates are always helpful...a voter can see the candidate live and in person

personally, I make my decision who to support by what I see in that person ..not what others say about him/her

I do not need someone to tell me what I see with my own eyes or hear with my own ears

sadly , some have little common sense but do have strong convictions ..

As a young child while visiting my grandfathers farm, as my grandfather tossed the cracked corn across the barnyard he would tell me

"the chickens have enough sense to know the food from the bull $hit"

It came from "The Hill" which is a left leaning publication. The actual may be on X.
It is the same tech your hit squads will be using against Trump.
BTW, Big Election Interference is screwing us all.

It's just another escalation of the election warfare that is already going on. Fake quotes, photoshopped images, supposed videos showing US ballot box stuffing -- from Russia ... All can be found on this forum, and the fans happily spread it, if it confims their biases. They'll spread the deep fake videos, too, without questioning them.

Unfortunately, this means that NOTHING that comes from social media is believable anymore. And, thus, everyone just midlessly believes the good "news" for their side, and disregards the "bad" news as fake. No critical thinking required. It's really a sad state of affairs, but I believe it will get worse before it gets better, if ever it gets better again.

One thing we can do from our side: Don't participate in the spreading of lies. If a quote is fake, an image photoshopped, don't post it. And if you do so unkowingly, retract the post and apologize, if it is found out to be fake. It starts at the bottom. We cannot expect our leaders to show good behavior, when we do the dirty work for them on social media, or if we are willing to lie and deceive, if it furthers our agenda.
