The FBI needs a huge overhaul. I can see why its not going to be promoted as the "first" thing to do----but hope it turns out to be first priority.

    @JCS

"The election result felt very off - something not right & 'unreal' about it."
For the liberals... Like hearing the snap of gloves and a "just relax" in your proctologist office..

I saw a stat that there are something like 425 federal agencies now. I understand why 96% of the vote in DC went against Trump. Same can be said about the surrounding counties in VA and MD. Let the games begin.

IF the people appointed to head those agencies are capable and strong leaders, and-
IF the rules that make it nearly impossible to fire non-performing or abusive civil servants are corrected.

An effective reform can't be superficial. Trump knows that, just as Musk does. The system however, has evolved to defend itself from efforts to perform or correct it. The problems are deeply entrenched, not superficial.

LOL.. That may be the way the left works. I bet that's why all this Epstein list and Diddy list members have been so "loyal" to the left... It can't get here fast enough.

Since the Biden/Harris regime was literally what every banana republic was doing, it seems ironic that just now you might be worried about it...

Shockingly, somehow, SKammy lost 20 million votes. I suppose that's what happens when the scamdemic mail in ballot scam is eliminated. No wonder the left can't believe they lost. In person, voter ID required, Citizenship required registration is the path forward. I'm all for early voting, but in person, voter ID required, and citizenship required for registration.

I think the State Department should be given equal love. It's their brand of smarm that has resulted in the US funding terror groups like Hamas/Hezbollah and ironically the Taliban and Iran. Time to take the broom to them as well. Next will have to be the DOD.

And once we get through these, taking on the NGOs that operate as proxies for the State Dept and the CIA, yes, it's time to bleed the blob.

I have noticed a strange absence of several posters who constantly told me that there was no way Trump could win. I noted that I was not going to make a prediction-I thought that Trump would beat Biden but given how biased the media was, even with a bad economy, Bubblehead might have won despite the fact that Trump clearly outworked and out-thought her. His McDonalds and Garbage Truck driver skits were brilliant and I didnt' think Joetato was going to undermine the backstabbing Harris as badly as he did. But we have a few who GUARANTEED Harris was going to win and it now appears crow for dinner will be their main course for at least a year. One poster constantly spammed past election results constantly

    Its delicious!!

It really is delicious. The single greatest and most historic comeback victory in all of US history. The single greatest victory in the culture war we will ever see in our entire lives. The single greatest middle finger to the far left.

I'm sorry, I may have missed something. Wasn't Trump elected President? I wouldn't call that a dictator.

One thing is for sure. History will judge him much differently now than they would if he lost.

    Yep!

If he does even just a normal lame duck of a job history will rmemeber him very well.

If he does particularly well. Then the possibilities are endless

Will the FBI be able to continue their valiant work of locking up 80 year old Christian women that pray outside of abortion clinics? Who's gonna take care of those evil senior citizen terrorist threats?

I will bet they will be a lot of files missing from the FBI. Like where did Biden get all that money to give to his family? And how about all those shadow companies Biden set up get their money? Why did Biden fire the investigator investigating his son's gas company in Ukraine?

You are quite right, the problems are not as simple as just cutting budgets and forcing managers to make decisions they should have made a decade ago.

There are some 250,000 supervisors/managers in the Federal Government. I am confident that the majority are good managers, capable of rising to this issue and cutting what can/needs to be cut. But even if 90% are willing and able, that still leaves 25,000 supervisors who will need to be fired/laid off/reassigned.

    That's a lot.

But that isn't trump's problem. If he gets good cabinet level people in, and whatever department heads he can appoint, it will be their problem.

The issue of civil service rules that protect inefficiency and non performance are issues for another day. Having watched how civil service rules work for a couple of decades, I am realistic enough to know that they won't change overnight, or even during the trump administration. If all goes as planned, it will be Vance who deals with that particular hornets nest.

But job one is stopping the debt spending with a balanced budget.

The depth of the issue, of clearing out the deadweight- is not something the average citizen understands.

Years back, I had a friend working for the government as a contract administrator. He was talking about the quantity of useless employees he had to deal with, and I just asked- Why don't you fire them?

He said "In order to get a civil servant fired, I would have to document the various infractions and behavioral issues for two years, then go through a lot of forms to request it, deal with appeals- and I don't have the time, I have my job to do first." So I asked, what do you do? You can't do your job with people like that? He said- "I transfer them. They become somebody else's problem."

Of course this means they are still a problem, just not in his area. That doesn't really fix anything. Likewise George Romney, successful governor of Michigan and successful CEO of American Motors, accepted the cabinet position as director of HUD in 1969. Later he stated in an interview that the conditions were unbelievable; that he would give an order or instruction, heads would nod and memos go out- then absolutely nothing would happen. Civil servants see the current administration and politicians as temporary, something they just tolerate until the next one comes along.

People who can't be fired, often can't be led. One of the disciplinary tools a supervisor in government service does have is a suspension. If a person is suspended for a month- he goes home, but he still draws his full salary. In private industry, that's called a vacation.

It's a pitiful situation, and it tells you a lot about why civil servants don't want business minded management in the whitehouse.
