Due process only occurs after confiscation (enlighten me how this is considered due process when the hearing is held ex parte to have your firearms removed?) and anyone can file a petition without recourse to get a person, in most states with Red Flag laws, weapons seized.

I am for scrupulous red flag laws as I do think they are warranted at times. I think that any petition hearing should involve the accused and actual due process should take place (never ex parte) with the ability to defend themselves and any person that is proven to have falsely petitioned to have a persons 2nd amendment rights stripped should be held legally accountable. I think any reasonable person should find this 100% reasonable.
