FDA issues new warning on rare autoimmune disorder linked to J&J vaccine

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Monday warned of an increased risk of Guillain-Barre, a rare neurological disorder, following the Johnson & Johnson vaccine after 100 preliminary cases of the syndrome were reported among the 12.5M doses administered.

The agency noted that 95 of the cases were serious and required hospitalization. There was one death.

Guillain-Barré syndrome is a rare disorder that occurs when a person's immune system damages nerve cells and causes muscle weakness or paralysis.

Another warning about J&J COVID vaccine. The first was about blood clots that led to a pause in the vaccine's administration. As per usual, "the benefits outweigh the risks".

Hopefully, those considering getting a COVID vaccine keep up with these warnings. This particular risk primarily is affecting men over 50. Then we have the Phizer vaccine being a risk to younger people, especially males under 30. We are seeing each vaccine having particular risks to certain age groups.

Caveat Emptor!

 

Cases of GB have been manifest since the start. The daughter of a friend developed it after she recovered from the anaphylaxis caused by the shot. That was months ago.

Finally the FDA caught up with the data.

 

Decrease production on the ones that have issues, increase production on the ones that don't.

 

LOL You must know millions of people given that you always say that someone you know got one of the side effects of every covid vaccine whether they died, had a blood clot, got infected by a spike protein from a customer, pregnancy problems and now someone you know got GB

 

I don't know millions of people, but I have many life long friends.

More importantly, I've had a life long interest in medicine and sickness, probably because my dad was a doctor and I ended up in the Medical Service Corps in the US Army. Life is funny that way, eh?
