Female Veteran Arrested and Brutalized After No War With Syria Rally

    The witness indicated that he started filming because he "saw her [Yates] being confronted and thought something saucy might happen because those park police are known for using force." On the video, one can clearly see that Yates is not being violent or resisting arrest in any way. Additionally, the Federal Parks Police did not tell her why they were arresting her.

    A veteran is arrested at a protest rally against a possible war in Syria. So, this veteran refuses to leave a PUBLIC place and is slammed against a bench, man handled, restrained, and carted off to jail. A veteran is battered and taken to jail for excercising her right of free speech in a public space and possibly due to the nature of opposing a potential military conflict. This is one more example of the rising of a police state.

    NYC police did this and FAR worse during the peaceful OWS rallies.

    Right wingers all applauded. So don't expect too much protest about this now.
