Progress is finally being made towards a more permanent solution in the Middle East. Egypt has tentatively agreed to set up a suitable settlement west of the Negab at Bir El Thamada to be funded by the UN and US. Construction to begin in the coming days to provide temporary housing, food and water facilities. Followed by permanent housing next year. This will result in a buffer zone of over 120 miles preventing Terrorist tunneling and direct contact with Israel's new border with Egypt.
