I was not clear on where he got hit.

Funny though after he got killed, I needed a tax man and used one recommended to me by a friend. Turns out he had been part of the team that hunted down MLK killer and jailed him. He had the proof on his office wall from the FBI who he had quit working for. FBI hands out decent things you can hang on a wall.

Had King not got killed, I doubt there would be a national day for him nor statues nor streets names changed for him.

I wanted you to see how dumb it really is. And I think you now understand. Do you?

No, I called people who think a museum of black american history is racist, morons.

I guess all these museums are racist as well.

now here's a real example of a "racist" museum, i bet you don't "like" either.

Yes. It would've been nice if MLK had lived a healthy life past April 4, 1968.....

    I am for equal rights...

I could care less if someone pays with their own money for a black power or white power museum, but it shoudl not be funded by tax payers

Ah yes, another white person thinks it their job to dictate what is considered the "right" way because other ways hurt their feelings.

I think I already mentioned Dr. King doing it the "right" way and getting thanked for it via assassination.

they are, they are restricted by races, which is fine, as long as the tax payers are not footing the bill

I government should be a history museum, which would includes all of the above

Then you'd better show this same amount of self righteous outrage at every other museum in the country that did this long before.

And again....so what if they did? A museum, unlike your whining, is actually good for something.

I believe there was a list provided with those museums earlier in this thread. If you didn't find it, I suggest you use this nifty little invention called Google.

Black rage is interesting to try to analyze.

King might have died earlier with next to no impact as a fist shaking killer type. He was extremely controversial.

there is no such museum.... that is "whites only", you may think its whites only as the history did not include any blacks, but that doesn't make it whites only

that said, after having seen the video of what the museum is about, I have no issue with it, I had jumped to the conclusion based on the ops post that this was a black power type museum rather then real history

So was Malcolm X. So was Gandhi. They all got assassinated so either way no matter what they preached they still are no longer living.

    - - - Updated - - -

Well, that's good to hear. Although a quick Google search would tell you that it's not a "black power type" museum.

yep, I jumped the gun based on the ops post and pictures.. I admit that

I hope the museum makes it clear that white working class Americans helped free the slaves from the rich Americans.... that is a message that needs repeated, history shoudl be learned, let's make sure rich Americans never enslave anyone ever again, we need to stop blaming slavery on the white working class...... my ancestors never owned slaves and we need to make it clear that blaming something on whites just cause of their race.... is wrong......

Notice the video mentions Obama opening it, fails to give GW Bush credit for it getting built.

One thing I enjoy about Thomas Sowell, Justice Thomas and other black intellectuals is how they uplift a conversation. With them it moves forward and not backwards.

We need more blacks like those esteemed men.

who is us? if your saying not all the rich were responsible, I agree... but it definitely wasn't the white working class that was responsible, I know my ancestors never owned a slave in their life

You see, slavery the issue is blamed by blacks not just on the plantation owners, but anybody who is white. They demand to be paid today. So who is us? Taxpayers.

Notice they never blast presidents such as G. Washington nor the 11 more presidents who owned slaves. They save it for those of us living today.

Its amazing how the conservatives who love to quote Dr. King didn't start until after he was dead.

I already know about the history it depicts. It is depressing and I prefer not being reminded. IMO the bitterness that comes from focusing on a dysfunctional past is a very bad idea that rubs salt into wounds that were healing and drags past problems into the present.
