Florida Republican pitches bill to eliminate the Florida Democratic Party

Doubt this will pass, but a bold move and attack on the Cancel Culture and being over woke.

 

A bit of a rational inconsistency in including the bit about the removal of statue and memorials. It's essentially condemning the Democrats for historically supporting the confederacy, while simultaneously condemning them for not supporting the confederacy today.

 

I love how the right that complains about “cancel culture” and try to cancel everything they don’t like.

Like everything they do it is wonderfully ironic.

The people of this nation already have seen that Republican Party cannot compete on ideas or ability so instead they have to do so by stealing elections, voter fraud, gerrymandering, limiting voting days and now just outright banning the other party.

Republicans already have a structural advantage just because of the way the EC is done but nothing ever seems to be enough in their quest to seize power by any means necessary.

 

It dare say, it is one of the finest examples of Republican hypocrisy, I have ever seen. Focusing on 19th century history, while your currently leading contender for President, once again, is someone who wanted to negate the result, of a national, democratic election-- classic.

It’s funny about voter ID, I remember when you could bring a utility bill and they would cross reference that vs the voter registration. The major push for voter ID seemed to happen around the same time a black man won the presidency.

I think that’s really what caused the Republican Party to completely go off the rails.

 

It also drove Trumps popularity with that section of the base. He had been integral in that particular conspiracy so they knew him possibly more for that than even “The Apprentice”. (Which I always thought showcased the worst aspects of poor leadership and bullying)

This crap shouldn't be going on at all. honesty, honor, respect and civility have got to be present for people to honestly discuss issues and resolve problems. On both sides.
