The U.S. did not reneg every treaty made with American Indians as Gabriel1 says. Both Gabriel1 and Jonah ignore that even when it did happen, American Indians won their rights at the Supreme Court. Jonah, Dinesh D'Souza's a smart man. JavisBeason, notice that posters critiquing me such as Jonah, Gabriel1 and Deputy Dawg think American Indians running around naked and scalping eachother is OK. Jonah takes personal attacks @ Dinesh D'Souza because Mr. Dinesh D'Souza tells the truth. Dinesh D'Souza has also talked of how he has been called names because he doesn't always take the side of American Indians or Blacks just because of their ethnicity just as he saw something wrong with Crystal Gail Mangum falsely accusing several White men. Incidentally, with OJ Simpson case, while it's possible he did it, I believe there are enough doubts in that it could've been done by multiple killers but only OJ Simpson knows. But getting back to American Indians, American Indians who don't go along with the late Russell Means, Howard Zinn or Kirkpatrick Sale are called Uncle Tomahawks. Jonah Buddy and Gabriel1 Buddy. Neither JavisBeason nor I (again I'm not European) defend all that the Europeans did but the main point is that the Europeans treated the Amerindians better to @ worst no differently than way Amerindians treated eachother.

American Indians have for a long time had = chances as all others to succeed in life. Richard John Santorum Presidential Candidate is a good Catholic as is Irish Catholic Patrick J. Buchanan. People accuse Patrick J. Buchanan of being a racist but Patrick J. Buchanan visited China in 1972 during Nixon Administration and as Mr. Patrick J. Buchanan is a well traveled and educated, he is right that not all cultures are alike and some are better than others. In Patrick J. Buchanan's columns, he uses Sanskrit words such as guru, pundit and so on, so that proves how educated he is and Patrick J. Buchanan is right that American Indians got more because of the Catholics and I'm not even Catholic.

You might actually have an argument that the Europeans were the only ones that did this, or if the Indians were peaceful and minding their own business and the big bad Euro's showed up.

Truth is, American natives were just as violent, practiced human sacrifices, raped their conquered peoples, tortured and killed their enemy's children and simply lost a war to the Europeans.

As I have said repeatedly in this thread- I hold only our government accountable for its actions. There is no Native American government that survived intact from any period where it's policies led to murder, rape, or human sacrifice.

We- as citizens of the United States- are accountable for the actions and promises of our government. Two wrongs don't make a right- and as I have always told my progeny- just because someone else is doing it doesn't mean its the right thing to do.
