As for presidential immunity, it should apply only in official duties and official decisions made in the official job as president. It shouldn’t be granted or apply to anything else other than job related presidential duties and decisions. Not to campaign rallies, or seeking reelection or any other thing one can think of if it isn’t in the line of the official duties of the president.

The doctrine applies to police offers who have had to resort to violence in order to conduct their duties. It doesn't apply to presidents or other elected officials outside of law enforcement.
