It "may" have to do with perspectives and stereotyping?
I find it interesting that you have to guess what relevence your own post may have.
The topic is rape victims being blamed for their own rapes. Try to keep up.

Of course, everyone can choose to limit risk as opposed to putting themselves in risky situations, that's not up for debate.
However, does not in any way justify blaming rape victims for the crimes committed against them any more than it would justify blaming victims of other crimes for the actions of criminals.

No matter how easy someone makes it to commit a crime against them, the occurance of the crime is entirely up to the prospective criminal who makes the decision to take advantage of the situation.

Duh... You raise one very specific circumstance about rape in an effort to lump blame on rape victims in general, then wonder why it's relevant that not all rapes occur in the way you described?

Which is all anyone is saying. It isn't blaming anyone for anything. Can't you make that intellectual distinction?

That has to be one of the most nonsensical interpretations I have seen in quite a while. But do copy and past where I "lumped blame on rape victims in general" else admit you are blowing smoke out your ass.

Are you so self obsessed that you don't even realize this entire thread isn't about you as an individual?!
The OP clearly demonstrates blame being placed on the victim for the rape she was subjected to. What's so hard for you to understand about that?

Like I said, it may have to do with perspectives and stereotypes. Would we have the same problem if it were morally required that the guy who "raped" first or the one who did it the most, has to put out a serious relationship if she asks for it?

Yup, I'm sure most rape victims are really eager to be in a serious relationship with the criminal that subjected them to a rape...

It's simply impossible to take any of your posts on this topic seriously, as they have all been absolutely ridiculous.

"On Thursday’s edition of Outnumbered, hosts Andrea Tantaros and Kirsten Powers agreed that women should take more responsibility for preventing themselves from being in situations where they could be sexually assaulted."

You agreed above. You would advise a young woman to not take such a risk and put herself in a position to be assaulted or worse raped. You even said it wasn't up to debate.

And if you are going to make it about me as in

Then don't whine when I answer about me............DUH.

Nobody's saying that women should put themselves at risk unnecessarily, but even in those situations where they do, it does not excuse the rapist or make his decisions her fault.

If you're going to fantasize about extremely specific scenarios in which women have exposed themselves to risk, then imply that this makes them responsible for someone else making the decision to commit criminal acts... Calling you on it isn't "whining".

If you encountered an intoxicated woman, would you rape her? If not, you're a perfect example that her intoxication is not the direct cause of rape.

I don't care what stone-age claptrap you got it from. It makes about as much sense as suggesting burglary victims take burglars as roommates.

No one said it's her fault.

Nothing extreme about it stop whining.

You mean would there be as much burglary if you blamed the crime on the person who got their stuff stolen, and then encouraged theives to move in with their victims?!

That kind of seems obvious, doesn't it?

Have you read the OP?! That's exactly what is being said.

Did I say it was "extreme", or did I say it was "extremely specific"? Here's a hint:
When you have to misrepresent my statements to make a point, clearly there is something inherently flawed with your argument.

By the way, why are you dodging the question...
If you encountered an intoxicated woman, would you rape her? If not, you're a perfect example that her intoxication is not the direct cause of rape.

What if it were required that that burglar move in and try to restitute the victim?

Would you want someone who had stolen from you to be given access to all your belongings, even if they "promised" to behave? Yeah, me neither.

Could you try to make one post that's vaguely realistic?

What red herring are you talking about now? Making theft moral, or making rape moral? Neither is going to happen, feel free to stop wasting time with BS.

You keep missing the point about morals. Have you not read any Bibles? Some morals already exist and are being underutilized.

Or, do you believe morals tests on a for profit basis under our form of capitalism would be better?

Yes I have and no it's not.

Here's a hint: Distinction without merit.

Of course not, are you denying there are men out there who might? Are you trying to assert that intoxicated women never get raped?
