FOX Falling to the gutter

FOX news is heading straight down to the gutter where the rats live and there is little the Right can do about it.

Dominion is dominating the story with their lawsuit against Fox News.

They have always been in the gutter with the rats: MSNBC, CNN etc.

 

Why do you say that?
Their narritive is the rights main objections to the direction of this country.
Idaho is planning on giving out free money, and Florida has already done it, yet it's Biden who's causing inflation for instance.

 

ALL of the pundit shows/sites have been in the gutter for some time now. BOTH sides spin things to try to favor its side and discount the other side. ALL of these "news" channels/sites are no better than teenage cliques bad mouthing each other.

All of the MSM news outlets have a blatant bias so I try to look at a wide variety of news sources from around the world.

Sometimes foreign news sources have a clearer perspective of what's going on in America than US news sources.

Not true. Fox is blatantly lying. The other news sources may be tilting the scale toward their bias, but they are NOT lying. CNN tilts the "opinion" pieces toward the left but they report the news fairly and completely as it is.

Fox is blatantly misrepresenting the news.

 

Everyone believes the partisan nipple in which they suckle is the only truth.

 

That is 100% true but Fox is the extreme. Human nature is always like that and that is part or "normal" life. It is the extremes that do true damage and that is where Fox is right now (and has been for years).

You cannot even begin to excuse Fox by saying "everyone does it". There is a big difference in the tiers found in lies:

Worst tier: 1) Lying evil piece of s*** lies. They’re the worst and most indefensible kind of falsehood. Lying Evil Piece of S*** Lies involve a person being intentionally deceptive for some nefarious purpose. To steal. To con someone into doing something for their own benefit.

Second tier: 2) Cover your ass or look more awesome lies. These are STILL indefensible in my estimation, but at least I GET why someone would do it. Circumstances matter. Because a Cover Your Ass lie could certainly look and feel an awful lot like a Lying Evil Piece of **** lie under the right circumstances.

Third tier: 3) Little White Lies. You already know about these. You probably tell one every day, and don’t think twice about the moral implications of doing so because they don’t FEEL wrong or bad. They just don’t. If I think a meal tasted kind of shitty, and I say “Thank you so much for dinner. It was wonderful,” I’m not going to beat myself up about it.

Fox uses both Tier 1 and Tier 2 and CNN uses tier 2 and Tier 3. Big Difference.

 

They same the same thing. If so many people can believe they are right while being wrong, shouldn't you question your own beliefs? Trusting any partisan news source reveals gullibility on the consumers part, not trustworthiness on the media source's part. You are criticizing your own reflection.

 

I wonder if Fox employees own guns.

Btw, I have grown to take what suits me and leave the rest behind. Anytime I watch shows with political pundits, I bring a sense of humor.

My absolute favorite Fox host is Stuart Varney from Fox Business, a station up from Fox News. I guess my mind is "in the gutter" according to some. ​

 

You don't know me or what I have gone through in life to get where I am, and I can tell you one thing for "sure", I did not get to where I am by believing in lies. I got to where I am by always looking for the truth and for reality so that I could find the way to cope with it and move ahead. In addition to what I just said, from a young age and from the fact that I did not like myself, I was forced to look outside in order to better myself, meaning I was never someone that believed "I am right". I always blamed myself first for whatever problems occurred and that always led me to find the truth as to whether I was to blame and therefore I had to change, or whether the other person was to blame, at which point I could no nothing but get away.

Having said that and at my age (77), I know when I am right and when I am not, or might not be right. When I know I am right it is because I have experienced the same thing before on hundreds of times and have proven what the facts are. On any other occasion and with any topic I am not 100% familiar with (and therefore might not know what I am talking about), I do as much research on the topic as I can and I do not open my mouth to say anything until I have a "fair idea of what is right or wrong". In those cases, I can change my mind if presented with facts that prove that what I have read or learned is not right. It has happened but only a very few times in recent years.

As such, your post falls on deaf ears and shows me that it is you that does not do the necessary research and that makes rash judgements on people without knowing anything about what you are commenting on, such as this post of yours.

As far as the topic itself that you are referring to, I have been listening to CNN for the past 20 years and I am very familiar what they do well and what they fail at. I consider CNN far superior to Fox in every which way (news, fact, veracity, and delivery). That does not mean that I believe everything they say but generally speaking (with only a few exceptions), they are one of the best. They are one of the few stations that has newsmen at almost every single location where news is (or has) occurred. Their information is as good as it can be because they are there and experiencing it personally. I have not seen the same (or even close) with Fox doing that.

Geeze. Is your life experience the only one that matters? Not everyone is going to think CNN is a good news station. I don't.

When we evaluate quality, it really boils down to a subjective opinion, meaning we like what we like in accordance with our own values. Maybe the poster above did NOT fail. How about you stop writing off the opinions of others? His interpretations of what you have written is spot on. He simply disagrees with you, but that doesn't mean he "failed".

 

The jiff of it is, Fox rules the airwaves! And even when their ratings slip, the other folks don't benefit from it

They're inciting and exciting people with conflict. It's so bad, some of my leftwing and rightwing friends are actually sounding conciliatory. My wife swears it's because they're all fed up with the culture wars. Could be.

Several points. (1) We now have 2/3 of Americans supporting abortion rights for women at all stages of pregnancy. Women will never put up with government telling them they have to be pregnant. (2) Gun grabbers will never round up folks' guns. Can't buy one? Make it on a 3D printer. (3) A lot of people get hooked on drugs because they're illegal and dealers have an interest in getting more sales. If we legalize drugs sold through through licensed stores at cost, we'll see a much reduced black market. Fewer people will have contact with a dealer. Fewer get hooked. Anyway, 50 years of the "war on drugs" haven't worked. Just about everyone I know, right across the political spectrum, says abortion should be legal, guns will not be taken away, and we should stop locking people up for using drugs.

Several other areas of agreement--safe cities, same sex rights, protect Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, an end to overt racism.

We're generating a lot of wealth, but it doesn't go to workers.



It's complicated any everyone won't be happy with the fix.

 

Fox has a three million viewers, half over 70, out of 336m people. about 1 out of every 100 people.

A lot of those old guys (over 70) have the tv on all day and don't pay attention.

CNN had something like 1 out of 500 viewers.

BTW, which fox employee specifically made defaming claims about dominion? None that I know of but I don't watch fox news. It seems the real issue is that fox platforms people the left doesn't like, like giuliani.
