I’ve always thought Gutfeld is an idiot, and he just proves it. As t first I thought his point was a non-sequitor. The fact that some holocaust survivors used skills to survive had nothing to do with whether it is appropriate to suggest slaves benefited from slavery by acquiring skills. Unless he was trying to say (but failing miserably because he’s dumb) that holocaust survivors benefited from the skills they acquired during the holocaust? How else do you make sense of this idiot’s comments?

You don't. Not much on the right can even have sense found in it.

They DID need skills in that desperate situation. As for the slaves, they worked a lot. They obtained skills through this work. Nobody is saying they should have been grateful for it. Just facts. This is race hustling at its worse.

Unfortunately whatever skills they developed didn't help most of them. Few escaped the holocaust. But I suppose special skills did save some. Gutfeld is a phony but certainly not an idiot.

IS he an idiot, though? Or could this just part of an attempt by the extreme right to normalize white supremacism? Clearly DeSantis is hard at work trying to accomplish this. So it makes sense that many on Fox are all-in supporting his efforts.

So....there you have it, folks. Jews who were sent to the gas chamber had themselves to blame for not acquiring these "skills" that MAGA white supremacists now think would have saved them.

For ratings, Fox pundits are obliged to shock viewers.

They've all, at one time or another, said things that are totally unacceptable.

Not to mention that there's a sizeable proportion of racists among the MAGAs.

there is no such thing as absolute good or bad, viewpoints can always find good or bad in anything, only binary thinking people would fall into this trap

I know! That's why YOU said it, and not me. So now you need to argue that you didn't know what you were saying. Don't worry... we already know that's why you said it. So we'll believe you.
