My suggestion is to investigate a coverup that killed millions world wide. If you don’t like that idea maybe you should go sit next Hitler who also tried to hide his actions.

I have seen recent video of ICE agents challenging their superiors to let them do their job! Also video of contractors unloading illegal passengers from their air buses in the dead of night with commentary. We know where the "big lie" is and who is responsible! Let's go Brandon!

Chinese are locking people up in their houses and neighborhoods. (Something the WH hasn’t tried yet). People are starving in their homes.
And the true death toll is very high, you just can’t get accurate numbers because they are hiding them.

~ That investigation would have to be from an outside independent source. Forget the DOJ to do anything honest " for the people ".

[ Ron Paul suggested the same for government spending ]

Maybe they're arrogant enough to think the world will believe the low death numbers are from their [sarcasm]"excellent handling of the pandemic"?[/sarcasm] It's no secret that the Communist government really doesn't give a crap about their people. Or maybe they already had a vaccine to counter act the virus and that's why so few Chinese died. I can only wonder if it was also a way for them to get rid of their dissidents, giving them saline shots instead of their most effective vaccine, as lining them up and shooting them went out in the last century.

    Hitler? WTF?
Your suggestion was a congressional investigation. I am just wondering which members of Congress we can trust to do the investigation. Which member of Congress should head up the investigation. Nancy Pelosi maybe?

You are looking for an animal population that has been infected with Covid. Not an individual animal.

Covid almost certainly didn't evolve within a single animal, and then jump to humans from that individual animal, becoming perfectly adapted to spread among humans, despite it not being adaptive enough to spread among that aforementioned individual animal's species.

    So where's that population?

I don't suggest that, but I do suggest Congress investigate any bureaucrat (private scientists can say what they want...or science doesn't advance) who lied concerning the possible origin of this virus. That's because there is more than one agency that is concerned with novel viruses that enter the US: the Department of Defense. Fauci and other bureaucrats had no agency authority over the DOD that would permit them to mislead that agency into erroneously assessing a national security threat.

A US government employee who knowingly makes false statements or reports in an attempt to conceal a possible threat to US national security has committed a crime.

~ A better idea would be an independent outside source to investigate U.S. Congress and audit all Federal expenditures. The same with the upper echelon of the FBI .

No, I'm looking for a person who understands that an animal may carry & transmit a disease without itself being vulnerable to the disease. The poster I was responding to apparently hasn't got there yet.

Well, Trump admitted to playing down concerns of the virus - he was paid a government salary - so that's the place to start.

Ding...ding...ding, we have a winner. Spot on. Logic dictates ground zero would have the most deaths because it would take a while before they even knew. How did they act so quickly or were they already prepared.

Ok, we all should be looking...

I'm aware of what you say. I'm simply saying that the virus was probably prevalent in at least 1 animal species (with unknown effects on that species at this time), prior to 2019, IF this was of natural origin. I'm also fairly certain it is possible, that if we find a species that is commonly infected with Covid today, to genetically backtrack to pinpoint the timeframe in which the species originally developed the affliction. So if we find one that predates human affliction, then it lends credibility to natural origin.

But going on 3 years now, and still no species before humans.

As easily as zoo animals and deer and some pets have contracted covid, it would be very possible that the virus originated with other animals besides human -
at least it should not be ruled out.

I'm not sure on this yet. But it is sus that US UK India gets wrecked, China good. But then again, Australia isn't exactly their friend, and has fared better. But many islands are faring better than most, especially authoritarian ones.

It is also possible that a virus very much like this was in animals and jumped to humans before becoming more deadly. We know that this happens. I am not aware that we have found HIV in animals in the past 40 years, but there is enough evidence of a similar virus in other primates to safely assume that it originated there.

Again, this has nothing to do with my comment or the ignorance of the person I was replying to.

If there are/were lies concerning the possible origin of the virus is it possible that Members of Congress were some of those telling lies? The idea of the fox guarding the hen-house comes to mind if Congress does the investigating.

Good point. All one has to do is Google "whitetail deer" to see what's happening in the wild deer herds in the US.
