    I'm sure this will be of no surprise to most and contempt to a few; but not truer words were ever spoken,

    Frederick Douglass died at 77 back when average life expectancy for a black male was probably in the 30's. So he'd be wise, even if he wasn't as wise as his years.

    Well said. This is exactly why people like Herman Cain are resented so greatly. Because they dared to be bold, think for themselves, achieve success, and be free of their racial expectations.

    How many allegations?

    Cain = 7+

    Obama = 0

    yea yea I know, it's the Media's fault. :-D

    But I'd ask Mrs Cain first.

    Herman Cain has been despised by PC society and the black community ever since he entered the public eye. He's been called a myriad of racial slurs by blacks and whites alike for not falling in line and doing what he's told. He is the best example of your quote out there today.

    Comparatively, Barack Obama follows the socially accepted narrative of how a black man is "supposed" to act and got voted into office by many people who only voted for him because he was black. He had all the momentum in the world pushing his ass up the hill.

    Your quote is true, but you're misapplying it.
