French Socialists seek debate on debt "golden rule"

    Wow, are socialists in France actually realizing you can't give away the farm and expect to survive? You have to wonder why liberals in the United States resist a balanced budget amendment? I do hope the US left loon idiots wake up before it's too late.

    Socialist Francois Hollande, a frontrunner for France's 2012 presidential election, said his party wanted a national debate on writing deficit controls into the constitution if Europe demands it.

    His apparent shift on the so-called "golden rule" -- which the Socialist Party had so far flatly rejected -- came after French and German leaders announced on Tuesday that all euro zone countries would be asked to vote on adopting such a rule by mid-2012.

    The writing is so bad I can hardly make sense of this report.

    I think what they are trying to tell us is that the French socialists may oppose the idea of a balanced budget.

    If so then I can only say that socialists in the mother country are just as stupid as their children here in America.

    We need a balanced budget amendment to force the politicians to live within their means.
