You'll notice that I just ignored that part of his post. It's truly meaningless at this point. Even his lead in the primary polls is meaningless given what will happen over the next 6 months. And I'm not saying it will be good or bad, just that it will change dramatically. Given that, polling companies will be making a ton of money this cycle.

Polls mean NOTHING at this point...
    Especially, hypothetical Gen. Election matchups...
Polls aren't even worth paying attention to until the Mid-October weeks before the Election...

Why doesn't the fact that people, by and large, detest trump factor into your calculus. What does critical thinking tell you about forming opinions based on factors in a vacuum?

This is 100% true. And it's the reason the dems want (need) to run against him again.

I think this quote kind of says it all:
"Raffensperger: Mr. President, the problem you have with social media, they — people can say anything."
The common theme I keep seeing is, including this thread, that people see stuff on social media, twitter (X), etc etc and take it to heart.
    Why? Two reasons.
    1. It's easier to read a two minute opinion from someone else than to actually read the transcript.
    2. They see things on the internet that reinforces what they want to hear/read, so they take it as gospel.
If one reads the entire transcript of the Raffensperger call you will see how Trump chases conspiracy theory one after another down the rabbit hole.
He is caught up in the two reasons stated above. And his supporters tend to do the same no matter what the facts show.
Example: Trump goes on and on about the "State Farm" incident, supposedly caught on tape.
State of Georgia investigated and found nothing wrong on the video, but someone had taken the video and edited it to make it look like something fishy was going on, but Trump didn't want to accept that.
    Read this:
    https://www.cnn.com/2021/01/03/politics/trump-brad-raffensperger-phone-call-transcript/index.html
I'll let a jury decide criminality, but Trump sounds like an idiot on that call, and IMO does cross a line.
He wanted Raff to just call the election for Trump in Georgia, circumventing the wishes of the voters in Georgia. That shouldn't be taken lightly, and I think he will be found guilty in a court of law.
