Let's see if you can successfully change the subject.

It seems that under Bush the spying was aimed at those who intended us harm. It was oriented toward identifying Islamofascists and their American fellow-travelers. Under Obama the spying appears to be aimed at his enemies, the American people. Obama has used the instruments of government, the IRS at a minimum to suppress his opponents. I believe you are making the liberal case that having a totalitarian police state is fine as long as the "right" people are being suppressed.

This sentence fragment was harder to follow. Do you have any basis for arguing that Romney, who appears to be a very honorable man, would have used the IRS and the NSA to suppress liberals?

This is a dumb argument. The Patriot Act was focused on the nation's enemies. Under Obama the focus has shifted away from the Islamofascits and is now directly aimed at the American people in general. There are stories in the press that the FBI is not even allowed to monitor the mosques where the Islamofascists are most likely to be found.

So you are for a surveillance state as long as it is Obama's political opponents who are suppressed. That much seems clear.

There's a house about a mile or so from me that still has it's big 4'X6' wooden Romney/Ryan sign up in the front yard.

The election was held last November 6th.

It's now June 19th and as of this morning it was still up.

What are those 5 stages of grief and loss?
