gavin newsom's Twitter tantrum over gun control is sad but expected from a democrat man.

The california governor doesn't understand what a weapon of war is, and I'm betting he has a weak handshake as well. It's probably clammy, turned to the side, and grabs fingers to avoid the pain of an actual grip. There's nothing wrong with young people knowing how to handle firearms. It certainly promotes safety.

Democrats have been thoroughly exposed on the wrong side of the first amendment, preferring the kind of censorship and government control that were principle reasons for our leaving the British Union to begin with. And that censorship and control in this country is illegal, and using citizens as a way to bypass those restrictions, are also illegal.

    The first amendment is clear.

California is so retarded that you cannot buy a new motorcycle that came from another state. Any bike coming from another state has to be a used one with something like 7,000 mi on it.

Because heaven forbid any dealers or manufacturers should be able to sell anything but the California compliant models with all of their stupid garbage attached to them.

They prefer the children to remain ignorant about firearms and firearms safety.
They could actually give a s*** less about their safety

    Good for you, right on!
I'm sure they probably do something similar with other vehicles as well.

I bought a bag of wood chips for my smoker and sure enough it has a California proposition 64 warning on it. They need to keep their retarded fruit and nuttiness in their own state.

It's so many things! Like the highest state income tax in the nation. Gun laws which are ridiculous... we moved using 'PODS'. We needed six PODS. The town charged us $300 each to park them at the curb one by one to load up. When we got to Texas I called the town to see what they would charge. The guy laughed and said, "NOTHING". Then he asked if we needed help... he'd send some folks over to assist with the unpacking. So many regulations in California... we don't even pay deposit on cans and bottles here!

I am all in favor of allowing children to own guns. While we're at it why don't we allow them the right to drink. Should we allow them to take their guns to school?

Common folks lets be less reactionary.

The Daisy Red Ryder is sized to fit a ten year old kid.

We used to take our shotguns to school, keep them in the trunk, and get in a short rabbit hunt after school and before dark. Nobody thought anything of it.

What changed? I'm still the same guy.

We're not talking about CHILDREN, And those that say we are... are the ONLY children in the conversation. We're talking about 18 year olds... NOT CHILDREN. 18 year olds can be SOLDIERS! (at 17 with parental approval). 18 year olds can VOTE!

No one is talking about allowing anyone to bring guns to school... nice attempt to divert the conversation though.. page 27 of the DNC handbook. Please try to stay focused on the subject.

Who mentioned drinking here? Are you confused? Do you need assistance?

There are those who react quickly to any discussion that threatens the mantra "all guns for all people". We hear about people "coming to get your guns" and "gun grabbers" I am only asking those people to stop for a moment and think about things that can be done to help ease the gun problem and make some suggestions. This might work out for pro gun people in the long run. Don't just mindlessly jump on any discussion of guns that does not call for relaxing gun laws or opposing any that criticize the status quo. Common sense and coming to a meeting of the minds could help reduce our gun problems.

But it's not a gun problem. There's nothing wrong with the guns. The violence is a cultural problem. If you take away the guns the violence remains. So the real question that needs to be addressed is - " How do we solve the violence problem?"

My suggestion would be to concentrate on people. Our society has grown quite violent... and criminal. Gun deaths is just one of the symptoms. A couple of babies died in New York yesterday after ingesting fentanyl in what looks to be some sort of drug dealer hangout. Flash mobs are driving retail out of major cities. A retired cop was intentionally run down and killed yesterday by a teenager. Violence is running rampant in our society. Let's address THAT problem and we'll not only solve the gun death problem, so much more with it. Heck, we might even save San Francisco.

Isn't that what the person who wrote this bill may have been trying to do? It takes no guns from anyone. It doesn't restrict the use of guns. It is an attempt to stop glamorizing guns to young people.

Perhaps it would be a step in the proper direction to keep guns away violent, crazy, or immiture people. Yet many gun advocates are against the things that would do that.

I guess there are some folks as you describe, but I never met any. All the gun owners I know are clearly against letting any PROVEN violent people, PROVEN crazies, or PROVEN emotionally impaired (immature) people from having guns.(EMPHASIS on PROVEN.. as in conviction in a court of law, legally committed, etc.).

really? cigarettes are not constitutionally protected, and are harmful if used as intended. Guns are protected and not harmful to the user.

My wife was born and raised in So Cal. After we left she realized how much the government wants to control everything and once we were out she said she finally knows what freedom is like, and we now live in a democrat state. She said she will never go back again.

I don’t even want to think about how much vehicle registrations cost when we lived in CA and how little it cost when we moved to El Paso. Even here in NM car registrations are far cheaper than CA.

Do you know who glamorizes guns to young people? Hollywood and video games, even rap music and their videos.

On the subject of the gun ads targeting children, I’ve never seen any of those ads, have you?
