There are contracts, and according to the contract with Germany Russia can raise it's price. Let's see Merkel get out of this one. From what I gathered, Putin is really mad, and a mad Putin is not a pleasant thing. Last time it happened Crimea went poof.
There is no link on this so probably not true although one of dugin/Russia's strategys for getting it's own way is bullying over gas. On the other hand there is information of Russia searching for new gas customers which may suggest her fear over losing Europe.
