The true elephant in the room is just how bad was Trump's mental state that a general would even think he needed to take this action? Treason? maybe. Scary to have a President that unstable? Absolutely.
False: insurrection per blacks law dictionary is “A rebellion or rising of citizens or subjects in resistance to their government. See Insurgent. Insurrection shall consist in any combined resistance to the lawful authority of the state, with intent to the denial thereof, when the same is manifested, or intended to be manifested, by acts of violence. Code Ga. 1882, § 4315. And see Allegheny County v. Gibson, 90 Pa. 417, 35 Am. Rep. 670; Boon v. Ætna Ins. Co., 40 Conn. 584; In re Charge to Grand Jury (D. C.) 62 Fed. 830.” Please don’t try to invent definitions for terms that are easily referenced. Care to try again?
I'm not being deliberately obtuse. I need you to add more words to this. Give me the trajectory between (1) Trump is pissed he lost the election TO (2) Nuke China. And, where does conspiring come in?
I think the most striking aspect of this is that the MAGAs on this forum have no doubt that it could be true. Usually, when we learn of yet another horror about Trump, they immediately scream 'fake news'. But not this time. They will still try to smear Milley like all the others, but this time we are talking about the highest ranking military officer in the US. It's much harder to defend Trump without sounding unpatriotic.
China SHOULD worry. We built a nuke arsenal to MAKE them worry. Any weapon becomes useless in the hands of someone who does not have the will to use it.
You should be ashamed. You're defending a President who was considered crazy by his own generals, who were terrified that Trump would start WW3 to retain power.
They wanted to DENY the authority of the state? No they didn't. There's a lot more required to deny the authority of the state than running around ONE BUILDING... Read your own post.
He told his counterpart that if we were to attack them he would let them know and it wouldn’t be a surprise. That’s definable as a treason https://www.foxnews.com/media/mark-...he-has-no-statutory-authority-in-military-ops
I do not agree. I think counties should know if they attack us we will strike back, I do not think countries should wonder on a daily basis...is this the day that the US nukes us
Trump wasn't "all there" before he lost the election so it's not a giant leap to major meltdown behind closed doors. And, quite frankly, I don't know how much of this is him being upset that he was fired or that he views his successor so negatively. He might have played nice-nice if the other team put up a stronger appearing candidate. Nah, he doesn't do nice-nice well. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...ave-country-if-he-loses-joe-biden/3688173001/
Milley is the elephant. It is HID mental state that is in doubt. No one is smearing Milley> He broke the law. Was a "smear" when Dahlmer was a rrested? Or was it THE LAW?
So lemme get this straight. If Trump had decided that all the nation had turned against him and decided to launch the entirety of our remaining nukes at our own cities you would try Milley for treason if he had sought to countermand that order?
So you defy the Constitution? You support denying the authority of the Constitution? You think one man's opinion outweighs LAW/ Wow... we ARE in trouble.
Do you HONESTLY think Trump might have gone nuclear (I mean outside his temper)? Why would losing the election put China at risk? I don't understand the trajectory. Or, did Milley think he was so unhinged he would just start blowing countries up? If it was that BAD, why didn't anybody convene on the 25th?
The whole idea of having a military is deter the hostile acts of enemy nations. They should stop and think about attacking America and its consequences. They should always wonder how bad they will be hurt when they consider doing certain hostile things.
What a stupid question. Like asking... what if the DNC got a nuke and blew up Dallas. Step away from the bong now.
And we will never question a Generals mental state because "By God, he was a Trump hater like the DNC" or is he referred to as comrade within the inner ring of hate?
OK. Hold on a second. Why doesn't that apply across the board? Trump's opinion was that he should have been re-elected and he lied to the point some of his supporters stormed the Capitol and went to seek out our Vice-President (who WAS actually upholding his oath to the Constitution) to force him to stop the certification. Trump wanted to override the Constitution. Is that okay? If so, why is it different for Milley?
You either don't understand or you don't want to understand. Milley wasn't alone. Every 4-star general in the country knew what he was doing and agreed with him. Pompeo knew about it too.
