The police who first arrived on the scene said that Trayvon's hands were underneath him and he was face down in the grass. These witnesses put a wrench in the spokes.

George Zimmerman's attorneys have deposed a key state witnesses, Mary Cutcher, who didn't see Zimmerman kill teenager Trayvon Martin but told authorities she heard the gunshot then saw a man standing over Trayvon Martin's body, straddling it and appearing to press down on him.

In the days after the shooting. Cutcher became an outspoken critic of the Sanford Police Department for not immediately arresting Zimmerman and for not taking her seriously or keeping appointments.

Zimmerman, the 29-year-old Neighborhood Watch volunteer, was arrested several weeks later and is now awaiting trial on a charge of second-degree murder. He killed the unarmed black 17-year-old Feb. 26 in Sanford, setting off civil rights rallies across the country and beyond.

He says he acted in self-defense.

According to court paperwork recently released, Cutcher and three other witnesses were deposed Jan. 16 by defense attorneys.

The others include Selma Mora, her roommate whose account is similar to Cutcher's, and two other people who also called 911 that night.

Two days later, according to court paperwork, defense attorneys deposed two other witnesses. None was named but was identified only by number to protect him or her from harassment.

Among those deposed was the woman who called 911 before the fatal shot was fired. Her call captured cries for help, followed by a gunshot.

That witness later told investigators she couldn't see the struggle that preceded the shot, because it was "pitch black out."

Cutcher told Sanford police detectives March 2 that she did not see what happened before Trayvon was shot but heard a struggle and screams from "a little kid."

Someone was "whining," she said. "Someone was struggling, in trouble, hurting. … I think the kid was running for help."

There was no fight, she said, just screams and a gunshot.

When she looked outside, she saw a man straddling someone on the ground and pressing down on him with two hands, according to an audio recording of her interview.

"I believed he intended this kid to die," she said.

Mora, her roommate, said the voice she heard calling for help "was young."

After the gunshot, Mora said she saw one person on the ground, the other on top of him. The man on top was in red, she said.

That's the color of the jacket Zimmerman was wearing.

Both women in media interviews said Zimmerman seemed nonchalant after the shooting.

Although Cutcher advocated for Zimmerman's arrest, Sanford's lead investigator, Chris Serino, said portions of her account bolstered Zimmerman's self-defense claim.

Zimmerman said Trayvon had pinned him to the ground and was pounding his head into a sidewalk when he shot the 17-year-old.

After the gunshot, Zimmerman said he climbed on top of Trayvon and pinned the teenager's hands to the ground because he feared the high school junior might do him harm.

 

Someone who heard cries and did not see the two, is very subjective. I know if I was in danger of loosing my life, my cries and screaming would be higher pitched than usual. Also, hearing from Zimmerman, his voice is certainly not a baritone.

 

You are correct and Druggie Trayvon had a deep voice.

Should be good watching Zimmermans' composure as this evidence/testimony is played-out in court.

 

The voices of young men are generally all over the place.

 

So basically you will be reeling if a voice sample of Trayvons does not sound like a prepubescent teen?

It makes sense that O'Mara is deposing these two witnesses since they were involved with the early pressers put on by Crump and his publicist Ryan Julison:



It is just like Crump's playbook you need to get out there and spread misinformation first. I was glad to hear O'Mara bring it up in court and now Crump is on the witness list. LOL! :

I wonder if O'Mara will want to know if these witnesses were promised anything in return for their role in the media propaganda blitz.

Every prosecution strategy is to inflame the defendant until he becomes outraged and we see the real monster ... Zimmerman *doesn't have it* to manitain the meek and mild personna he's been faking us with ...

 

Screaming or begging for your life doesn't sound like normal conversation.

These "ear-witnesses" have a definite anti-Zimmerman bias.

 

Lots of sons, younger brothers and male cousins..

And in the past I employed many African American black teens.

 

Doesn't matter ... right now the witness is evidence against the defendant.

Younger men are generally quite strong and Zimmerman was out of shape,Trayvon was not,

I swear ... at this juncture ... O'Mara has to be portraying himself as incompetent so that some appeals attorney can take over the case ... pro bono of course ...

 

Many of the witnesses identities have to be hidden to protect them from the pathological slander and harassment of ZimmerChrist worshippers.

 

Sure, as soon as you hold others accountable to do the same.

 

And, a demolished witness is not good for the prosecution.
