"To bring your campaign speech into the presidency is something presidents rarely do," said Gergen, who has been a White House adviser to four presidents. "This was the most divisive speech I've ever heard from a sitting American president."

"He played to his base and he treated his other listeners, the rest of the people who have been disturbed about him or oppose him, he treated them basically as 'I don't care, I don't give a damn what you think, because you're frankly like the enemy,'" said Gergen. "I think it was a deeply disturbing speech."

We need a president for ALL Americans.

Trump is the president of ALL Americans. What he isn't is the president of Mexicans, Middle Easterners, or whoever else the left puts ahead of ALL Americans.

    Next?

So when you say, "We need a president for ALL Americans," are you implying that Hillary didn't mean it when she said that half of Trump's supporters were deplorable and ultimately irredeemable?

Gergen still doesn't know squat about what Trump is doing and wouldn't be truthful about it even if he did know what Trump was up to.

Trump is still using Clausewitz to great effect and the RNC is setting records for contributions. Democrats are going to complain no matter what Trump does.

"At the funeral service for five slain Dallas cops, President Barack Obama delivered another one of his needlessly politicized lectures. As is customary these days, those who were critical of his rhetoric were branded racists and unthinking haters."

There is much more for those who aren't blinded by political propaganda.

Trump does play to his base however...his base is most of Geographic America which is why he won the electoral college. I know that drives libs insane but that's the way it is. What's he supposed to do? Try to 'make nice' with those who have an unfounded seething hatred toward him like Maxine Waters?

We will never have a President of all Americans that's not the way it works in America. We will never have a 'dear leader' although the supposedly objective press tried to make Obama one.

Donald Trump thinks Clauswitz is someone he owes money to. I am not aware that the GOP is raising significantly greater amounts of money because of Trump, but Democrats certainly are.

Trump is using the divide and conquer strategy. However, he is failing to conquer. In fact he is losing every battle.

What's the next fail. Is Trump going to surrender to North Korea?

The Democrats can raise all the money they want..... Because money will not defeat the Clausewitz playbook. And the Russian hoax that the Democrats tried to use against Clausewitz failed miserably.

Trump is gaining support in the Rust Belt while the Left is spending money on their, ANTI - First Amendment criminals in a consistently blue state.

There is improvement there already. And that is the primary area where the most initial infrastructure improvements will be made.

No, he's the president of billionaires and the rural trash stupid enough to believe that he cares about them. He has turned his back on the working class, women, black people, immigrants, the environment, trans citizens, Muslims, students, the elderly, sick people, the poor, and all states that care enough to spend on social programs. He intends to endanger the entire west coast with his petty ego when dealing with the incredibly sensitive North Korean situation. Even if you ignore the blatant connections to Russia, he is still likely a criminal and refuses to prove he isn't by releasing his taxes. Oh and if he insists on blowing up the Middle East, then the refugees his stupidity creates are our problem and he is responsible for them.

Where are all the Jobs, Jobs, Jobs, Trump promised? He's run out of all those from the last administration that he took credit for.

Wait until his tariffs kick in and we all start having to pay more for everything. We'll see how much "ALL" Americans love him then

Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, and Barack Obama have already created millions of refugees. I doubt that Trump could match them even if he wanted to.

"He has turned his back on the working class..." Really? That is exactly why he won. The Dems dumped on the working class so badly that the choice was an easy one for them.

We're also not supposed to have "rulers". We're supposed to have EMPLOYEES, these people aren't supposed to promote factions and set us all at each other's throats, they're supposed to HELP us, and that means ALL of us, to work toward the common good.

We have to wake up and realize this is an existential threat These people want to exterminate anyone who is not a white, Christian, heterosexual

Yeah, the MSM has done a great job setting us at each other's throats. They are the 'rulers' and have been for decades and decades. And...They are anything but objective. Never were, never will be. The 'common good' is not and will never be enough because it thwarts competition which is the driving force in not only economic markets but in nature itself.

I sometimes wonder how ignorant statements like that get a pass with anyone with half a brain.

It's exempt because it was uttered by our first affirmative action hire for president. Soft bigotry of low expectations and all that.

They had better husband that money, because a year from now it will be drying up.

The investigation into the Russia thing is ongoing, and evidence is piling up. The Trump Adminstration undermined the House investigation completely, and the GOP is deliberately slow walking the one in the Senate. This is no surprise. The party sold its soul to Donald Trump and now they're stuck with him. But not so stuck that they've moved a single piece of significant legislation for him.

I am not aware that Trump is gaining support anywhere. His support nationwide is at a record low for any President. and his strong support is concentrated in one party alone.

Perhaps if people like you gave him a fair chance instead of smearing him and being out to get him ad nauseum on a daily basis and being part of "resist", he might give YOU a fair chance. Respect works BOTH ways, doesn't it?

Thanks for asking ! Quite well in fact Thanks to President Obama, Trump has benefited from President Obama foresight !

The solar and wind industries are each creating jobs at a rate 12 times faster than that of the rest of the U.S. economy, according to a new report. http://fortune.com/2017/01/27/solar-wind-renewable-jobs/

The study, published by the Environmental Defense Fund's (EDF) Climate Corps program, says that solar and wind jobs have grown at rates of about 20% annually in recent years, and sustainability now collectively represents four to four and a half million jobs in the U.S., up from 3.4 million in 2011.

Economic markets are formed mainly by entrepreneurs cooperating with each other so they can compete in offering consumers the best goods and services. Competition, in economics as in nature, is an overlay on a basis formed by cooperation.

I don't want to kill and eat conservatives, but I am constantly surprised at how much they want to kill me as the treasonous corrupter of the state they say all liberals are
