Exactly. White trans is celebrated, while the reality is that black trans are treated as a pariah. Even though they support the ideas in theory, being both black and trans is just too much for them, too awkward, and they kind of just want to ignore it. (It's a similar story for feminism; how much has feminism actually done for the black community, the black women who are not upwardly career mobile on the corporate ladder?)
And now they are trying to target those social engineering efforts at the black community. They're trying to get black voters to "get with the program". Blacks have always supported their party but haven't necessarily embraced all their radical "socially progressive" ideas. They're trying to push this trans thing as their convenient political wedge issue, and need to get blacks onboard.
I disagree. I think it's part of Dems Movement to "lightskin" America. The Dems want the future to feature a mixed Race populous with no pastyWHITE Europeans and no darkskin Blacks. It's like Ann Coulter said, the Dems have turned their backs on the Blacks. So now, they have to get rid of the Blacks. And how do they accomplish that? By stopping Black women from procreating ---with darkskin Black men. Yes, the Oprahfication of Black women means they have now bought in to the Dems idea, that Black men must go. Unless they're lightskinned of course.
They are targeting an audience. It is nothing but capitalism at work. They are far more worried about selling razors than they are social engineering. Why can't you just let people be what they are or think they are, and not worry about it? I care far less about transsexuals than I do those who go around demanding that they be treated like something less than anyone else.
You think the trans audience, tiny as it is, is actually worth specifically targetting with a televised commercial ad? I think there's much more at play here than "capitalism". Marketing executives trying to push social messaging in their advertisements.
Obviously Gillette does. And it isn't just transsexuals. It could appeal to many sympathetic to the issue. They are clearly positioning themselves in the market. Come on!!! This is elementary stuff. They have a highly competitive market to worry about. This isn't freaking social engineering!
And with the Dollar Shave Club going, Gillette should be worried. I haven't bought razors in the store for probably 8 years now. And I pay about half the price I used to pay. And I like Mike [Dollar Shave Club owner]. He makes cool commercials.
The Godless have no reason to believe that. From their perspective, the universe consists of everything that has the potential to affect them personally, so there's no downside to this or any other manifestation of perversion.
The commercial as is, superficial, so I stay keen to not get caught up in that ---beyond the publicity. Which is why the publicity is so peculiar to me, how Gillette wouldn't publicize the White HISP/White Jew/White Euro transgender who had the schematic to successfully navigate thru a hetero society, most-efficiently and successfully. The person in this commercial is going to recv the most scrutiny, among LGBT, so why didn't Gillette allow for that person to be someone less subjugated than Black people are? As of today, Gillette has indeed solidified itself as a peculiar institution.
Is it calling for harm to someone? No? Then no, I don’t care in the slightest. Most of us would have probably never even have known of it had you not posted it Gillette thanks you for spreading their ad though
Gillette Loses Billions by Shaming Men. “Advertising has been taken over by social justice warriors. If you enjoy being scolded by the people who are trying to sell you their products, feel free to spend your money as you see fit. The rest of us male chauvinist pigs will take our business elsewhere.”
People feel such needs because of narcissism which is rampant in our society. Narcissism is exactly the condition of not being comfortable with who you are. Gillette is a symptom of this social maladay in at least two ways: Homosexuals have long been associated with narcissism and Gillette is branding to the so-called woke. They want men to buy their razors not because they are good razors but because the men get to make a statement about being woke.
By catering to one, they put off the other. Win some, lose some. Personally, I don't pay attention to the brand on my razor, but I suppose some do.
Get Woke Go Broke: Gillette Backflips After $8 Billion Toxic Masculinity Disaster — Hopes to Lure Sexist Pigs Back with New Ad Campaign In January Proctor & Gamble decided to run Gillette razor ads trashing men as violent stalkers and abusers in a disgusting ad campaign. The company felt the best way to promote their product was to attack their customer base. The toxic masculinity ad highlighted sexist and bullying white males in the United States. Of the 43 abusive males in the ad – 42 were white. 7 of the 8 hero men in the ad were black. The company followed that ad up with a father teaching his trans son how to shave for the first time. All that wokeness did not pay off for Gillette and P&G. Gillette lost $8 BILLION in the second quarter. After this shockingly disgusting ad campaign Gillette is hoping to regain its market share with a more positive message. They decided that labeling their customers as sexist pigs may not have been the best strategy.
It's an alright advert. A little to much emphasis on North, North, East, East and being confident with your strokes bullshit. It's a multi blade razor, so hard to cut yourself with them. Easy peasy the young man didn't need to be babied. What next teaching him to pee standing up, "hold it firm son, be confidant, you are the master of your own stream, aim right for the middle, 'splash', that's it son, you're doing it. '*High fives', now shake, fast now' North South East west, North South East west. Stop, do not cross the fine line between shaking and playing with it, Great job son, now pop it back in, now the zipper. Careful now, you do not want to catch it. Great job son. " Joking aside is an ok advert, nothing against it. As least they are not man hating like their last one.
