A minor clarification: if selecting the president goes to the house the vote is by state, not representatives.

 

The scenario in the OP differs from that. When SCOTUS ruled on the the ballot stripping they stated that Congress has the power to bar someone from office based on 14A/3.

I was a little stunned at the can of worms that SCOTUS informed us was opened by 14A/3 and quickly realized what would occur should the GOP not hold a House of Congress between now and the potential inauguration of Trump.

If RFK could win at least one ECV vote, should the Dems come to control both Houses of Congress, and if they bar Trump from the presidency, which they surely would, then the GOP could unite behind RFK to deny Bribed Joe the presidency. But otherwise, Bribed Joe could lose the election and still get sworn in for a second term.

 

In a few cities that I know of, and only after it was announced that he won. Yet, there was no storming of the capital like January 6th, 2021 where more than three dozen officers were hurt. Most of the participants have either pled guilty or were found guilty. Some are now, or have served their sentence and are convicted felons, much like Trump is.
