Mitt Stays #1, field falling behind...

NEXT DEBATE: Tuesday, October 11, 2011 8:00pm Bloomberg

As we approach the end of September, we've seen three debates in the last few weeks, a surprising victory in the Florida Straw poll and a star may be flickering faster than anyone thought...

    This weeks rankings:

    1) Mitt Romney- Sitting second in most polls, Mr. Romney has been a picture of discipline, control and poise in the debates thus far. Governor Perry has attempted to take a few shots at him, but hasn't been able to find his target. While this race is largely perceived as a two horse race, the feeling I have is that the Romney campaign has to be delighted where things stand. Maybe Perry will find his mojo and shake things up, but so far, Mitt Romney seems to be taking all of this debate business in stride. I think the Romney campaign is built for a long run. It doesn't matter who's ahead in September '11. This may be very premature, but I have a feeling this race might already be over. (Last Ranking: #1)

    2) Rick Perry-
The front runner, if you believe the pollsters. Which I do not. The potential is there for Governor Perry to improve his aim when it comes to Romney, the question is will that potential be realized? Perry looked bad in the last few debates and with his stance on immigration being what it is, he can count on a lot of attention in the next few debates. His debate prep must improve, dramatically before the Bloomberg debate on the 11th. He needs a strong showing to prove his worth to investors and potential voters. (Last Ranking: #2)

    3) Herman Cain-
The surprise winner of the Florida straw poll elevates Mr. Cain to his highest ranking yet. While he hasn't got the attention severity of questions that Romney/Perry have, he hasn't squandered what opportunities have been had. His claim that he'd be dead under Obamacare is so fully wrong, I wonder if ...

Interesting that a unknown man can rise up..without being elected to anything ..say " 9..9..9 " as his policy and win any Political office much less the White House.
he doesn't have a record on anything to debate.
    Obama lite..

When reading about him on wiki..
We find he has a OK education ..but not in anything useful.
I didnt see his class rank.

    In politics,
Cain was a senior economic advisor to the Dole/Kemp presidential campaign in 1996.
    How'd that work out ?

Cain briefly ran for the Republican presidential nomination in 2000; he says it was more about making political statements than winning the nomination.
    What's different this time ?

In 2010, "Cain addressed more than 40 Tea Party rallies, hit all the early presidential states, and became a YouTube sensation..

    Mmm. Image ..is everything.

A number of comments made by Cain regarding his attitudes towards Muslim people have caused controversy. He has stated that he was "uncomfortable" when he found that the surgeon operating on his liver and colon cancer was Muslim, later explaining "based upon the little knowledge that I have of the Muslim religion, you know, they have an objective to convert all infidels or kill them".
So the heart wrenching story about his condition has a side story ?

Following a number of such comments, he was asked in March 2011 if he would feel comfortable appointing a Muslim to his administration or as a Judge.
Cain said "No, I will not .."

Is there any Muslim population in this country ? Think they will vote Cain ?
But Cain is a Baptist minister..so all's well.

Cain has faced criticism regarding his lack of foreign policy experience and stumbled early in the campaign when answering a question regarding the Palestinian right of return as he appeared unfamiliar with the issue and staff were forced to later clarify his position.

SO here we have a winner !
    ?????

On June 3, 2011, an Insider-Advantage poll showed Cain leading the field of Republican primary candidates among Georgia Republicans.[47] A July 2011 Zogby poll showed Cain in second place nationally, with 18% of the vote, behind Michele Bachmann and ahead of Romney.[48

( hows that polling working out ? )

Think your religion doesn't MATTER ?

We have a guy running for the highest office in the land ..and he needs to answer some hard questions about his views on the world and Muslims instead of getting a free ride on 9-9-9.
