Seems the federal government is investigating S&P for their part in the mortgage crisis. Guaranteeing toxic loans as AAA. Of course they had a hand in it, and have tried to play both sides. Hopefully some arrests are made.
Holy Cow, Obama's turning into Nixon. Let's see, we have two American Law Officers dead and eleven more grizzly violent crimes where ATF's Operation Gun Runner and Fast and Furious guns turned up at the murder scenes, no DOJ investigation. S&P down grades the credit and the full force of the DOJ is all over it. So nice to see they have their priorities straight.
The investigation has been going on since before the debt talks. Everyone knows S&P had a hand in the mortage crisis. They gave AAA ratings to subprime loans!!
Amazing....Can we say 'payback'? I am reminded of the Clinton IRS auditing every single organization and female who outed Clinton over his reign. What is it about democrats and abuse of power.
You don't find it just a little odd that they either didn't investigate earlier or investigated but didn't find anything, and now that S&P embarrassed them they investigate? This is the gov't intimidation that is rampant in the Third World nations. Do you really want to go there?
While we're investigating S&P, lets also invesitigate Barney Frank and all the Democrats in Congress who started this mess.
It was unethical to cartelize the bonds rating agencies and the consequence of said cartelization is the sort of bad behavior you whinge over even though you shouldn't have expected anything but that sort of behavior. For the Montoyas of the world, nothing government does is unethical and the consequences are always someone else's fault.
Selectively son, 'selectively'. No one is investigating the Justice dept for dumping the Black Panther investigation or the ATF for not investigating the gun running scandal.
How do you prove something is NOT happening? OK, it's not happening, now prove it is. If you can't back up your statements, just admit it and move on.
All rating agencies gave a Triple A rating on Sub-Prime mortgages. I guess we should investigate Moody's or Fitch either right? Nope, only the ones that downgraded us. You're too old to be so ignorant.
