Graham, Blumenthal Introduce Resolution To Address Threat Of Russian Tactical Nukes

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senators Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) and Richard Blumenthal (D-Connecticut) today introduced a resolution to respond to the Russian Federation delivering tactical nuclear weapons to the Republic of Belarus. This is the first time Russia has deployed nuclear warheads beyond its borders since the fall of the Soviet Union, and represents a serious threat to global security in the midst of the war in Ukraine.
Graham and Blumenthal noted their resolution holds that any use of a tactical nuclear weapon by Russia, Belarus or their proxies, or the destruction of a nuclear facility that disperses radioactive contaminants into NATO territory would be viewed as an attack on NATO itself, requiring an Article V response.

It's hard to know what to think of this, other than some people are tired of the world and want to end it in nuclear fire. This is insane and has no relation to the US national interest.

I should note that I don't really blame Richard Blumenthal as much since like much of our leadership, he's descended into that sweet night of senility, and is simply a tool for others. Graham on the other hand, has all his marbles, so it's hard to think that he's simply insane.

 

Graham is a warmonger. He's always for war. We have tactical nukes staged outside our border, now, Putin does to.

Yes that's the "democracy" we're supporting.

 

Graham is a classic neocon, in spite of being personally cowardly. He loves him a good war, as long as somebody else is doing the fighting.

 

And Blumenthal is our stolen valor Senator. So actually he and Graham make a great pair to introduce a resolution to start World War III. They can both (as well as many billions) die in a glorious nuclear blaze of glory, and get those posthumous medals they want so badly.
