When we hear talk of gun laws, it usually follows an incident which is rare (Sandy Hook, etc) and accounts for a very small portion of the overall amount of gun related crime. Look up the stats if you doubt me, most gun crime is related to criminal/drug dealing organizations. Every time I hear this talk of further regulation, I find myself thinking of the song posted below. "Gunwalk" by Lil' Wayne. It gives a bit of insight as to why gun laws don't work in major urban centers, and honestly, I'll say the same thing if my 2A right is violated. (*)(*)(*)(*) a gun law. Warning - graphic lyrics
The only honest thing that can be said about gun laws is that they have never succeeded at reducing violence. The same people that want to stop civilian gun ownership tried to control alcohol and passed almost all the drug laws including the first one's. They are markedly consistent in two regards only - their hatred of personal freedom and their obsessive need to try to control everything and everyone.
Wasn't it the Government that released a 5 times deported career criminal only to have him kill a girl with a Government owned gun? Perhaps Obama should call for gun control laws regarding Government Agents.
