since the reagan era, most wage earners in the usa have been subject to mandatory drug testing. moreover, a very high proportion of gun crimes are "drug related." failing a drug test should carry a requirement of civil forfeiture of all property that could be used in a crime, even the guns. to be clear, i own guns, find drug testing to be odious, and if "civil forfeiture" is anywhere near the "original intent" of the founders our constitution is worthless, but, of course, reagan proved this to be wrong.
As long as you make every employee of the federal government and everyone receiving any sort of welfare get drug tested. And while we're at it everyone who votes and everyone who drives a vehicle and everyone who types anything on the internet or otherwise exercises their right to free speech. Let's just make drug testing a mandatory part of any rights whatsoever.
i thought "conservatives" liked mandatory drug testing? fewer workplace injuries and so forth? and besides, the mandate could come from corporate america, insurance companies, gun manufacturing conglomerates and such.
Nothing more than an exercise in mental masturbation that will never come to pass.... I think people on welfare should be drug tested because the people who pay for their welfare have to go to work and be drug tested. Every one of those sorry bastards in Congress should be drug tested.... Might just find who's leaving their dope laying around the White House
