"...the number of killings committed with knives or other “cutting instruments” rose 50 percent in New York City, the Police Department said: to 125 from 83."

“We may have made it harder for killers to get their hands on guns,” said Mr. Browne. “Knives are still easily and legally acquired.”

So, I'm just curious. What are the statistics on gun stabbings for the same time period?

How many lives were lost due to gun stabbings last year in America?

How many people were injured by being stabbed by a gun?

    Just curious.

A baseball bat, a car, a rope, a screwdriver ( a favorite of criminals), utility razors....

People will always kill people. Fire arms are only a method for that which they were going to do anyway. Guns make this a little more easily done and can be used by any idiot with a pulse and fingers.

Forensically speaking, the last way I would kill someone is with a gun. Too easily identified and linked to the user unless they are extremely careful. Casing, primer, ejector marking, finger print of the firing pin, powder tests...

Killing someone with a gun is just stupid now days. You are better off with a base ball bat. You can burn it when you are done and dump the ashes elsewhere.

Not advocating violence or clever manslaughter, but it is just done poorly these days. I am a little disappointed with our criminal population.

    That suits me just fine.

Well, the bayonet is great, when you are out of ammo. Otherwise don't bring a knife to a gun fight.

History has proven that guns win wars against non firearm bearing opponents with few exceptions. Gotta hand it to them Zulus, they just wanted it more.

Gun control advocates are worried that there are too many assault, rape, and murder with bayonets. That is why they need to ban them.
