Why did our Universities rejoice when Jews were raped, murdered and their babies beheaded?

'the spreading wreckage produced under multiculturalism’s tutelage. Executive director of the think tank MCC-Brussels, Furedi argued in “How Multiculturalism Fuels Hate” that as early as the 1970s the elite advocacy of multiculturalism began to unravel America’s remarkable achievement in building a multi-racial and multi-ethnic society. Having “consciously divided society into self-standing ethnic-identity groups,” multiculturalists “fueled today’s disunity and polarization,” Furedi maintained. And having “accentuated, cultivated and inflamed differences between people,” he argued, “multiculturalism has undermined and impeded the development of any genuine sense of solidarity among citizens.”'

'In recent decades, the several offshoots of multiculturalism spawned at our universities have further stoked resentment, poisoned moral judgment, and inculcated self-righteousness. Identity politics replaces individual rights with group demands. Intersectionality stresses the “interconnected,” “overlapping,” and “interdependent” forms of discrimination suffered by minorities and women. The diversity, equity, and inclusion industry instructs citizens to view each other primarily through the lens of race, ethnicity, and gender rather than that of individual character and shared humanity.'

'The resolute focus on grievance has had baleful consequences. By conceiving of Israel as a prime example of the settler colonialism that must be overcome, the multicultural mindset fuels antisemitism. But multiculturalism’s impact extends far beyond that sordid alliance. If one wanted to infiltrate the bastions of higher education and depreciate human rights, sow discord, and engineer a return to tribalism, it’s hard to imagine where one would depart from multicultural orthodoxy.'

'To reclaim human rights, foster comity among citizens, and restore appreciation of the public interest, it is vital to reform our colleges and universities. Institutions of higher education erode the public interest by promulgating an intolerant and anti-pluralist creed under the rubric of multiculturalism while providing outposts for propagandists of barbarism. Instead, America’s colleges and universities should cultivate free minds by preserving and transmitting the traditions of free individuals and free peoples.'

Coward son is camping out in Miami, daddy claims he's arranging military supplies to be sent to Israel. lol

'IDF reservists org. to Yair Netanyahu: "The era of your malicious influence is over"

'The IDF reservists organization Brothers in Arms responded: "You need to look at the facts: Arrogance belongs to you, while opacity and guilt belong to your father. The era of your malicious influence is over.'

"We stand united with the men and women who risk their lives to protect our country, from which you have fled. We understand your father's frustrations and desires; the whole nation does. However, on an evening when we mourned the loss of eight soldiers, it would have been better if you had stayed silent."

'No deal yet: PM shoots down ‘incorrect reports’ of imminent hostage agreement'

'Netanyahu says no accord ‘as of now’ amid reports of progress on deal that would free dozens of women, children in exchange for a 5-day pause; Gantz says hostages are top priority'

    19 November 2023, 3:59 am

    snip:

'On Wednesday, Reuters reported that Hamas agreed to a deal that would see the release 50 hostages being held in Gaza in exchange for a three-day pause in fighting.

Channel 12 reported Saturday, citing an Arab source close to Hamas, that the latest Israeli demand was actually for approximately 87 people, including 13 mothers, 40 children, and 34 foreign nationals.

Israel has been insisting on keeping families together — parents and children — for any hostage deals, according to the report.

In exchange, Hamas would get a five-day pause, the release of some Palestinian prisoners, including women, minors, and security detainees, and the entry of higher amounts of fuel into the Gaza Strip.'

'I REMEMBER WHEN FEMINISTS WERE AGAINST RAPE': Now they’re making excuses for it when it’s by Hamas.

‘Improper and unauthorized use’ of university center’s name'

'The director of a Canadian university rape crisis center has been fired for signing off on a letter which challenges claims that female captives taken by Hamas were sexually assaulted during its October 7 attack against Israel.'

    The Fragility of Israeli Deterrence

'Israelis across the political spectrum see eliminating Hamas as unavoidable. It could take years to eliminate the leaders, financers, and others outside Gaza who contributed to October 7. It will likely take months for Israel to complete its ground operations in Gaza.' If they survive, Hamas leaders have publicly promised to carry out more attacks like October 7. No country can be expected to live under such circumstances, and a ceasefire may bring a temporary peace but it will guarantee a larger, even more devastating war in the future.'

Israel should stop talking about sending Gazan terrorists to Western countries. It is not a good look. Just yesterday an unhinged Muslim nutter stabbed Irish schoolchildren. Irish protesters burned down a refugee center in response. Europe does not need a single Muslim immigrant and neither do we.

Is The Overton Window Moving toward Reason?

'Recently, Tablet published a symposium called What Now? It was an opportunity for Jews to offer opinions that they probably would not have articulated prior to the October 7 Hamas pogrom. Titles of the essays include:'
    • End DEI
    • Get a Gun
    • Deport Violent Radicals'
'What has shocked Jews much more than the atrocities of Hamas are the atrocities committed by Progressives. It turns out that Progressives support a Palestinian cause that seeks not peace and dignity for all but to drive Jews out of the Middle East completely. Progressives say that the “context” justifies rape, murder and kidnapping of innocent people. Under the doctrine of intersectionality, Progressives manage to link support for Islamic theocrats to LGBTQ rights.'

'The Overton Window has clearly moved for many American Jews. The Ivy League is now disgraced. Imagine if on college campuses there were students marching around in Ku Klux Klan hoods shouting racist slogans. And imagine they were doing this right after the death of George Floyd. That is what the pro-Hamas demonstrations are to Jewish students.'

'After George Floyd was killed, we had riots everywhere, which were widely defended by all the best people, and only one reaction was even tolerated in most of the public sphere. But when a Jewish pro-Israel marcher was murdered by a pro-Palestinian professor, it barely made a ripple in the national conversation.'

We've been lied to by folks deeply infected with the most ancient of hates.

I honestly don't think this will make much of a difference as far as political preferences for US Jews. The percentage of American Jews who suddenly have a road to Damascus moment (could-not-resist) will likely be tiny. What will make the difference will be, as is often the case, demographics. Secular or Reform Jews have an intermarriage rate of 70%, which is practically extinction level. How connected their small number of children will be to their faint Jewish identity seems up in the air. Meanwhile the Hassidim, who are already on the political right in the US, have lots and lots of kids. So future polls that show American Jews voting right increasing will likely be due to demographics, not sudden conversions from left to right by progressive Jews.

New York Times Sweetheart Calla Walsh Turns Violent

'She was profiled as a leading light of progressivism. This week she was arrested with an incendiary device'

    She hates Jews.

'It’s not often that the New York Times has a prophetic vision. In 2021, the paper ran a fawning profile of Calla Walsh, a high-schooler leading an “army of sixteen-year-olds” against Massachusetts’s Democratic establishment. Now all grown up, Walsh has become a general to a violent group of diligent protesters.'

Of course the NYT's loves her:

'She calls police “pigs” on social media and her fellow protesters “comrades.” She currently works with the National Network on Cuba, which aims to end the US blockade on Cuba, and serves as a contributor for People’s World, a Marxist-Leninist publication.'

Too many Republicans are nothing more than appropriators. They pay lip service to our causes to gain office, and then use their offices to make lots and lots and lots of money.

Liz Cheney was worth $7M when she was elected, four years later when voters threw her out, she was worth $44M.

I think the States need to get together and draft some constitutional amendments and circulate them for ratification that gives greater power over spending to the State Legislatures acting in concert, over federal spending. Right now Congress is the only game in town and it's obvious that isn't going to work for much longer.

Do you think that the House GOP will get run over on aid to Israel and Ukraine and that this new spending will come without offsets?

As far as the aid packages, I like the Speakers take on things; separate packages and paid for, in some way or another. I can't predict if he's going to get his way on that though. Schumer and McConnell fiercely oppose it and Johnson is a relative newbie to those two corrupt power welders.

As for more constitutional amendments, I'm only interested in one: A balanced budget amendment. Any other collection of amendments won't matter much if the original constitution doesn't matter, but having to pay for every new program will be a powerful brake on stupid ideas. Student Loan forgiveness wouldn't even be a serious proposal if you had to raise taxes on the country to pay for it, and that goes to all the other ridiculous pie-in-the-sky policy dreams.

But...that's all a little outside this thread topic.

Well, it ties into funding and offsets. I agree with everything you posted. With 22 appropriators in the GOP ranks, they don't have majority for getting the budget under control. With all the $Millions members of Congress make by spending $Billions and $Trillions, you are never going to get durable spending discipline from Congress, it will have to be imposed by the State Legislatures, and that will require the agreement of 3/4ths of them.

That means 13 states could block it.

If you can get one of these states to sign on, I think you could pass a BBA
