If the US was so uninvolved, how come we have a plane load of vaccine headed this way? Only waiting approval by the US before distribution begins. That sounds like Warp Speed to me. Damn, Trump is good. Stuck his hand in and came out with the goodies.

 

Not necessarily. It could be made a requirement for continued employment. I was forced to take vaccinations at the threat of not getting my undergraduate degree. I couldn't prove that I had them because those records were not kept for whatever reason.

Just because Dirty Donald chose to name the worldwide search for a vaccine to immunize against Covid 19,has nothing to do with it's development. THAT WAS STRICTLY IN THE HANDS AND MINDS OF MEDICAL SCIENTISTS and the natural human tendency to try to be first especially for the pharmaceutical companies. There is money to be made.

 

Because the US bought from bioNtech 100 million doses. They are now getting their share, produced in Belgium.
The EU bought 200 millions, they get their share and other countries bought more doses and they will get their share.
BioNtech will produce 1.3 billion doses next year in Germany and they are sold out and Germany financed the production factory.

Trump said we would have a vaccine. Our scientists doubted we would have one for years. And then he managed to get his hands on this vaccine that the scientists said would not be available. Your story does not hold up under scrutiny. Either that or Trump is a whole lot smarter than democrats give him credit for.

 

If we didn't pay for them, we have no business bitching about how they're dolled out.

bioNtech is listed on NASDAQ, I paid for it, bought stock in March. German Government and the EU invested in the company, not the US government.
Bought curevac the day they went public, NASDAQ.
Both were no-brainers.
Pfizer, bioNtech, Germany and the EU paid for the development of the vaccine and its production.
Nobody else.
Well folks like me, the investors. Making a very nice little profit.

You are avoiding my point. In spite of your claimed noninvolvement by Trump, the US is ending up with a vaccine in a couple of weeks. About a year ahead of all predictions by the scientists. Then we have two more manufacturers. Like I said, either Trump is a whole lot smarter than the democrats give him credit for or he had a lot to do with it. I could care less which. The vaccine is coming long before the scientists said was possible. Most likely everyone in the US who wants vaccinated will get vaccinated by mid year. It would have been mid 2022 according to the scientists.

Then we have the democrats saying they would never take a vaccine which Trump had something to do with. All the more for the republicans.

It only took him a week to get it.

 

I have little doubts that the democrats will figure out a way to give him credit for it.

He disregarded his scientists and correctly forecast that we would get a lot earlier than the scientists expected.

 

Trump predicted it would be here over and over, when he was wrong he just guessed again - lol, eventually he would be right
