I'm about mid-way through it right now and it's really fascinating. Probably the most 'objective' account one is likely to get about Hitler.
I read it just after it came out for a course on Germany in the 30's and 40's. Very good book as I remember.
Read the 2 books in 2006 that Mr. Ian Kershaw wrote about Hitler-Hubris & Nemesis in 1999 & 2000. In 2010, read the book by his friend RJ Evans titled the 3rd Reich @ War which was released in 2009. All 3 books are long (took me 5 to 6 weeks to finish) & well informed. Professor RJ Evans book the 3d Reich @ War is the best though Ian Kershaw does a good job on Hitler biography, Professor Richard J. Evans 3rd Reich @ War is IMO what I liked reading more.
Hi, I'm your bigger brother. ) I have to admit, I haven't read it yet. However, it's definitely on my to-do list. A friend of mine told me it's a great read....pretty time consuming though. From what I know, Joachim Fest's biography of Hitler and Kershaw's are the top ones by far. Time to find out.
