Democrat Senators and Republican Senators who are holding the hearing for the new Justice for the Supreme Court talk out to both sides of their mouths. Take Health care. Democrats want to keep the ACA. Republicans want it removed and replaced. Democrats who also want a universal health care that clearly is not the ACA. So why do Democrats object to Republicans killing and replacing when that is precisely what they want to also do?
Optics..... For some reason, democrats are wedded to this idea that Obama was "great" and this was like his only legacy policy. The fact that it was entirely unconstitutional, well, that's the rub. And frankly, the action of mr Roberts to redraft it, TWICE, to retain it seems to be forgotten from the democratic bench. The reality is that democrats really want to control the money that gets spent on healthcare. Just that simple. They want to be able to throttle health care, to use health care to demand citizens conform to their insanity, it's just a stepping stone to their ultimate tyranny. When government gets to tell you that you can't eat meat, then what? As we're seeing with the "public health" crap about covid, this is the actual end goal here. Dictating what success in the economy is, and throttling it to induce artificial scarcity. This is the method and the result of socialism. Don't agree? Move to China, and live it.
I think this ^^^ is the nuts and bolts of the Democratic party and their movement. Make no mistake, we republicans agree with and accept our constitution. Democrats object to our constitution and want to make enormous changes. 1. Arms laws 2. Marriage laws 3. Voting laws 4. Health laws 5. Food laws 6. Housing laws 7. Inept human laws 8. Pregnancy laws etc.
I'm all for universal healthcare. It could be paid for easily with less than half what is consumed by the fraudulent war on terror. Half or less what is currently unaccounted for in Pentagon coffers. I would rather my taxes be spent on universal healthcare than perpetual war brought under fraud.
I thought this thread really belonged in Health Care, not the Law & Justice section. Or maybe at least in some Politics section. But it seems all related parties have ignored my request to have it moved.
