Is the origin of this atrocity in dispute?

That would be the White Helmets.

Just look at the picture. Aside from the strange 'blood' flow, the girl doesn't look to be in pain, despite all that 'blood'. On top of that, her whole body is exposed with room around her. Common sense, and photos of real rescues from rubble, show that people are pulled out as soon as an opening big enough to get them out is created. Not with this one, though. Hell, there's room for a friend lol.

    This photo is staged.

It sure as hell wouldn't be the first time such an 'atrocity' has been staged, and it won't be the last?

Has there been any reporting in the MSM about the civilians and children being killed by the American coalition? It's happening on a weekly basis and the attacks are being brought up at the UN.

This is very regrettable, but there is no secular alternative to Assad. Is it really better that this girl survived the bombing only to be thrown off a building when it turns out she is a lesbian?

Leave it to the Syrians to sort out. There simply is absolutely zero justification for Western nations intervening in any form. It's time to withdraw, permanently and without apology.

Agree all of that except 'without apology' - we owe Assad and the Russians an apology for making it more difficult for them to rid Syria of the various terrorist groups.

That is the prescient point. Assad - "Secularism with some limits to freedoms" Extremist Salafi Islamist Jihadists " Strict Sharia Theocracy with no freedoms"

I had a conversation with a friend of mine who was originally from Syria but had not been back home in 20 years. Fully integrated - smokes and drinks and has no interest in praying - never mind 5 times a day - married to an Eastern European girl who is Orthodox. He finally went back - reconnected with his family over there and did some investment - started a small chicken farm. This was right at the time of the protest movement.

After he came back we had a drink (or three) and I asked him whats happening over there. He said - "its complicated" .. "the people do not like Assad much .. but they hate the extremists ... especially the Christians who are terrified".

Been following the situation there ever since. Here is a really good article just prior to armed insurrection breaking out. I found this really interesting because it mirrored what my friend had told me.

    https://www.christianpost.com/news/...om-anti-government-protestors-in-syria-50104/

It goes on but pretty much parrots what my friend had told me except at this point the Extremists had taken over the protest movement and were running around threatening and killing Christians.

Some time later - after armed insurrection broke out and all hell broke lose - I started to hear that we were supporting the Opposition. I was like WTF ? "The Opposition is these guys - the nut job extremist Salafi Isalamists" how could we be supporting these guys - its not what the people want.

... and it was all downhill after that - and I think you know the rest of the story - if not let me know. For me it is what freedom loving people of Syria want - not about Assad - and those folks do not want the Islamists to take over the country and turn it into Sharia Theocracy land.

Assad has Christian Generals in his Army and the demographic of the Army if 50% Sunni. These are the "Moderates" not the rebel opposition.
