Hi, my name's Ilya. I'm you're average guy from Bolotnaya square, so you can guess that here in Russia I'm supposed to be the most liberal of liberals with 100% pro-western political orientation. Which I am, of course, compared to slavophiles and mr. putin's fans, although in reality I have a lot of doubts about at least some parts of what we call "the western way". Being in contact with my folks in Europe and Israel I know how much a view from the outside varies from the real situation in the state. So I hope to learn more about life in EU and USA and how you guys solve the same problems, to better understand what we here really should incorporate into our live to become a more civilized country, and what mistakes and overkills of modern liberalism should be avoided.
Hope you'll help me with that)

Hello, Wandering Jew. This is intended as a complement. We are helping raise our five- month old grand daughter. She began with many problems and we play music to help her establish new neural connections. Moscow Never Sleeps, and Julia Savicheva's eesli v serdce (?) put her to sleep. Also, at her young age, she loves watching the videos. I have many questions about life in Russia.

Hi, wolfin. I'm not sure if Russian-music-being-so-boring-that-you-fall-asleep-listening-to-it is such a good thing)))))
But of course I'd gladly answer your questions on Russian life)

Hi Wandering Jew. I like Russian music, but remember our grand daughter is only five + months old. My wife and I are helping take care of her. A Rassal and Samata Lativian hip hop song also sooths and puts her to sleep.

I am a volunteer weather observer and storm chaser, so weather is one of my interests. How long does the snow season last in your area? Do you have many thunderstorms in summer? What is your most severe form of weather--blizzards, tornadoes, hail, wind etc? Is it true most Russians have dash cams in their cars?
