Ahh, yeah, it's very easy being a liberal here. The only conservatives left in Arizona are about John McCain's age. Or Mormon. Or a lawman with a last name ending in "o". Or a BMW-drivin' frat boy from Chicago. Or a Jewish princess from New Jersey.
Thanks, guys. Yes, this is a very red state, especially in my retirement community. However, the Tucson area is bluer than the rest of the state. Besides, I don't talk politics in the real world, and leave if others do so in a social setting. It is rude. I save it for places like this board. many of my friends are RW nuts, but they will be the first to come over to help me fix a broken pipe. probably because they don't know my political leanings.
I used to be an independent. Hell, I was even a republican for years. Baby Bush cured me of that. I really don't see any reason to be an independent any more, either, since the Republicans went crazy, starting with Sarah Palin, which has now deteriorated to the worst slate of candidates the the Republican party has produced since the SOB, Nixon.
Man, you been readin' my book. I even voted for Bush first time around. Republicans don't even pretend to be serious anymore.
