If you are going to say that what he spouts is just entertainment, well then that would go for MSNBC's Tiffany Cross, and Lawrence O'Donnell, as well. I don't think that 3 instances on one network which are opinions represent either truth or the main stream media. The independent source you cite has itself been shown to post things that are untrue and equally biased and equally at war. I don't believe opinions on Daily Caller represents most thinking conservatives and that the opinions on MSNBC represent most thinking conservatives. I think they both promote things people want to hear in order to increase income.
