https://www.cnn.com/2022/03/30/politics/republican-reaction-madison-cawthorn/index.html I'm calling on voters in North Carolina to show up at the voting booth in North Carolina to get rid of Mr. Cawthorn. I live in NC, and I can tell you he is an embarrassment to the state. This is just the latest of a long string of ridiculous statements he has made. His Jan. 6th antics were the determining factor for me, but now he has ticked off the entire Republican party in Washington. We don't need legislators like this. Controversial is ok, but at least be truthful.........
The nerve of Cawthorn. Thinking he can just go out and make baseless false statements and exaggerations without pushback from most Congressional Republicans. Just who the hell does he think he is? There's only one man in the Republican party that's allowed to do that with impunity.
My first thought was to ask who is his likely primary replacement, but then I thought, can it be worse than this punk?? Highly unlikely (but I never rule it out with the state of this former legitimate party). Primary away GOP.... Although NC can solve that issue entirely by voting for a solution, not a problem...
Chuck Edwards, but I don't know much about him. Chances are he's a better choice. We have a strange mix of really good and really bad politicians in this state, from both sides of the aisle. Maybe if we weed out the bad, we'll be left with the good! I'm optimistic.
Just read his state senate bio.... by the current level of today's Republican "party" (set to zero), he sounds completely serviceable... Tough call for Democrats.... root for the VERY beatable punk-boy and hope the D wins or root for Chuck to win the primary and at least have a sane Republican (still an oxymoron in my book) win Here's the race in a nutshell... Seems the D front runner is a gay female.... Probably works in Asheville, but not in many other places in WNC.... https://wlos.com/news/local/madison...vestigates-heath-shuler-jasmine-beach-ferrara
Awesome work, thanks! I'm no where near that district, but I'm trying to get caught up, national people usually rise up from the state ranks, so if we want change, that's the most likely place to start..
Tillis announced today he's done with that kid.... SNIP Tillis issued a statement Friday confirming his endorsement of Edwards ENDSNIP https://www.wcnc.com/article/news/p...mary/275-78e75a65-5c5c-42d2-9c31-6449f821e248 Other than the fact that it's not Friday yet....
LOL... that dumb orgy story may have been the one that caused McCarthy to take a knee, but he's been spouting nonsense since Day 1... I'm not remotely angry with him.... I'm embarrassed for his district and state.... which I just determined is almost a direct quote from the OP...
No anger, just tired of seeing him on the news saying stupid stuff, with a bar on the bottom with NC next to his name. Loudmouthed and uninformed-not a winning combination for a representative, imo. (unless you live in a certain district in Georgia, then it's great!) I guess you didn't read the link. He admitted he made it up, so there were no names to name. Is that the type of politician you like?
You're right, I didn't read the link so I didn't know he admitted to making it up. The story seemed plausible to me however, which I guess goes into the contempt that I hold Congress.
