Of course I agree with you, which is why I hold the position I do. If a mediocre track athlete decides he wants to compete as a girl, my response is "we don't group athletes by gender, so quit griping and go out there and finish in the middle of the pack like you always do!"

If the side effect is that women only compete in lower-tiered divisions, is that any different than what we have today? All I'm doing is removing the facade. If the women on the U.S. national soccer team want to earn more money, don't whine about equal pay... go compete in the league that pays more money!

I was being sarcastic in that post bro. I know the best female sprinter could never stand a chance with the best male sprinter. There is not a woman in the world who could dare put up a fight against Usain Bolt.

 

No that would be the case for those who think a guy should be able to compete against women just because he states he thinks he is really a woman. Even though in physical reality he has the huge edge because of the reality that he is still a guy no matter what the voices in his head tell him.

Women who think they are guys will not take the spot of someone in the men's division, so there is no point.

BUT a guy claiming to be a girl will take the spot of a woman who is good enough to play on the top woman's team, so in essence you are for taking away a girls chance on playing for her own club just because she is not as good as the guy who only claims to be a girl even though science and biology and reality beg to harshly differ.

By your definitions anyone should be able to claim they are really 12, be able to go back to school and be able to date 12 year olds because one simply identifies as a 12 year old no matter the year they were born.

(Calvin Murphy, Ken Rosewall, Calvin Jones, etc.) but let's not get confused and compare apples to bananas. We are still discussing inter-gender competition (male to male) and not intra-gender (male to female) in which case an undersized woman, smaller than a man to begin with, would be under and even greater burden and disadvantage by being small even by female standards.

Competition in almost all cases, except for certain notable exceptions (distance running and swimming, mixed doubles, etc.) is impossible because of gender differences. Wishing it were not so is pointless and even in the exceptional cases already noted, competition usually means the male wins anyway though
the gap is practically closed, as opposed to sports where bulk, size and muscle is the main determiner (martial arts, football, hockey, etc.).

Men also have larger hearts than women for size, allowing men to pump more oxygen. From leg length to hip structure, heart size to muscles, males have inherent advantages over women due to being male and irrelevant to hormonal levels. The only advantage women have would be in extreme life endurance competitions due to women more efficiently converting fat. So if there was a non-stop race lasting for 3 days for which no one could have food, then a woman very well could win. Women also more can withstand pain.

So we need to add a starvation and torture competition. The last person left after everyone else starved to death wins and the one who is the only one left not telling a set secret thru medieval torture and waterboarding wins.

 

There is clearly age-discrimination in athletics and sports. There also is weight discrimination. How hateful is it to declare someone is too old and fat to compete with 80 pound 13 year olds in wrestling? What horrific bigotry.

 

Exactly. That's why as I pointed out earlier, Police and Fire departments have a different physical requirements for men and women or if they use the same requirement the women will sue because they can't pass the test.
