When I have the occasion to hear that a President of the United States has been elected despite he [so far never "she"] has lost the popular vote, I wonder how is this possible ...

I mean ... usually Democratic candidates win both, electoral and popular votes, so, knowing that a Republican candidate could win the electoral votes ... why during Dem administrations they didn't change the system?

please site where I said that?

she got more votes than Trump did, people that did not vote don't count as a vote....

Trump won the electoral votes though, thus he will be our next President.. you will just have to be happy with that

When you insist she won THE popular voter. So cite to me the national election where we all voted in THE popular election.

In less states that he did so he won.

So what does that have to do with the price of rice in China?

He won the election, she did not. There were 51 votes he won the most with the most electors, a tally of all the 51 elections has no bearing on anything, it is meaningless trivia.

    You STILL don't get that?

I'm not particularly happy Trump will be the next President. But that does not mean I will make specious arguments that he lost a "popular vote" which does not exist at all.

you do know your vote only counts if you.... guess what.. wait for it.... if you vote

Trump got less votes the Hillary, that is just fact...

and yes, like I said, Trump won the electoral college votes, we agree there, no disagreements, Trump will be our next President for better or worse....

Where in the Constitution does it say that you get to count cows in your representation?

DUH your point being what? And your vote only counts if your state legislature allows to vote for your slate of electors. So what's your point?

Not in most states and there was NO national vote.

Are you asserting that had there been one national election, one vote in which we all participated across state lines, the results would be exactly the same as tallying up all the 51 separate and unique state elections we DID have?

Let's hope for the better after the last 8 years.

my point is Hilary got more votes then Trump, as the right likes to say......."you will just have to learn to live with it"

just as we on the left have to accept that Trump won the electoral college and will be our next President for better or worse

the votes are what they are....

yes, I hope Trump is not another Bush, btw, the last President to also lose the popular vote but still become President

In some states but not in most and there was NO NATIONAL VOTE. So yes you will just have to learn to live with that.

Again are you asserting that had there been one national election, one vote in which we all participated across state lines, the results would be exactly the same as tallying up all the 51 separate and unique state elections we DID have?

And you should hope at least economically he is another Bush and his policies will produce another 52 months of solid economic growth, low unemployment with average LFPR, rising incomes, soaring tax revenues and another deficit of a paltry $161B. Which of those would you not want?

And have I missed your response, are you going to be OK if he and his cabinet all use a Trump.com email address for all their official business, do not turn over in a timely manner copies of all their official emails and in fact have his attornies decide which ones will be turned over and then destroy the rest? And of course Reince Priebus can declare not only is he chief of staff but also his attorney so anything between them is protect by attorney client privilege. Surely you will not be complaining about all of that will you?

Hillary got more total votes in America than Trump did... that is just fact.... you will have to learn to live with that

Trump won the electoral vote only..... which in American wins the Presidency... we will all have to live with that

and no, I do not hope Trump becomes another Bush, nor do most Americans

    ....

Show me the election where we ALL voted together into one tally else you are engaged in folly and you will have to learn that your folly is of no importance or significance.

So you prefer another 8 years of economic doldrums and high deficits?

Don't forget , maybe Trump can write up a little paper for his children to sign saying there will be no conflict of interest and bang , nothing to worry about. Wasn't a problem when Hillary did it, but Trump talks to his kids and the media attacks like sharks to blood.

And his entire cabinet can get trump.com email addresses and use those for ALL their official business, including having classified information stored and transferred through them, and then at the end of his term Trump lawyers can decide which ones to turn over to the government and then destroy all the records and hard drives.

I am just stating a fact, Hillary got more votes then Trump, a fact you may not like, but a fact none the less

whenever a President wins without the popular vote it is historically noteworthy

as for what I prefer.. I prefer Trump hand off this country in better condition then he got it like Obama is doing, I do not want him to trash it like Bush did then hand it off

What "the popular vote" prove we all voted in one popular election. Saying she won THE popular vote is fallacious and not a fact since there is no THE national popular vote. The only popular voting is on the individual state level and DC making 51 popular votes which having nothing to do with each other.

And would you prefer the economy when the Republicans handed it off to the Democrats in 2007 or when the Democrats ha.red it off to the Republicans in 2014? Presidents are not omnipotent vis-a-vis the economy. You aren't really trying to assert the Democrat House and Senate acted on President Bush's behalf in behalf in 2007 and 2008 are you?

Why do you keep repeating your fallacious statement? What "the popular vote" there were 51 separate and unique popular votes, there was no one popular vote. Which particular state election are you talking about?

Does that still escape you? You must be ignorant of how the electors are elected in separate and unique individual elections not one big one.

all states should be audited... every election... we should have both a digital and manual count and the results of both should match or we find out why

the citizenship is already verified at the registration phase... what we need to verify is republicans did not vote more then once as we see they like to vote and vote often

I find that conservative views of illegals to be very, very odd; on one hand, they're lazy welfare collectors, and on the other, they're stealing all of 'our' jobs. You seem to be under the impression that illegals consider breaking the law a trivial act, when in reality most illegals are absolutely terrified of doing anything that could attract the police to them. Why, for god's sake, would illegals risk their homes, children, and livelihoods to vote for Hillary in a state she was already guaranteed to win?

You people have this mentality that if you lose in any way, the system was rigged against you. I go to a school mostly consisting of minorities, and I struggle to think of anyone not white who supported Trump. I know two Trump supporters near my age, and both of them are white, male, Protestant morons that I occasionally tutor. Get over yourself. You lost where it really counted, in the hearts of the American people; the system was rigged, but not for Hillary, for Trump!

By the heavens, stop blaming your every failure on minority groups.
