I'd like to think so, although Obama was quickly on the phone to Bibi apparently to reassure the poor soul. A leopard never changes its spots and the US is historically tied to Israel like a cancerous tumour. Clearly political pressure has been applied from somewhere though. The unconditional US support of Israel is proving to be a massive contradiction for Obama, I think.
