I'd like to think so, although Obama was quickly on the phone to Bibi apparently to reassure the poor soul. A leopard never changes its spots and the US is historically tied to Israel like a cancerous tumour. Clearly political pressure has been applied from somewhere though. The unconditional US support of Israel is proving to be a massive contradiction for Obama, I think. Edward Said has taught Obama all he needs to know and he is having to reconcile this knowledge by swallowing the bitterist of Israeli pills in Bibi who deep down he knows is a vile Jewish extremist.
